Ok, I PROMISE this is the last finishing I will share for a while...

This was MUCH fun to make! I have had this project stitched and in "the drawer" for a few months wondering how I wanted to finish it. WELL, I decided!!!
I turned this into a nice little bag. I love the way it turned out :) The finishing fabric on the back is the yellow bee print. The inside is also lined with the bee print. It's just TOO cute!
Thanks for looking :)

Ok, I am done for awhile-I know you all must BEE bored with me sharing so much. Thanks for indulging me though, I do appreciate it :)

Carol (CC), of course I don't mind-I am thrilled that everyone likes the scissor pockets and wanted to know how to make them :) I will look forward to seeing people share them :)

Pat, I received your e-mail, replied and it came back as your mail box was full :) I'll try again tomorrow :) Thanks for the e-mail :)

Hi Tobie :) Thanks for visiting with me-it's so nice to meet you :)

Oh Melissa-I got into trouble doing those blogger tags-as some people didn't appreciate being tagged (thanks for thinking of me)-so, I don't do them anymore...I am sorry-I hope you understand :)

Still Finishing...are you sick of me yet???

Fisrt off let me say, Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments on the heart needlecase. WOW, thank you :) You're all so kind! I do appreciate it :)

I have been finishing again today and got a couple pieces done.

I love this piece and wanted to make it into a keepsake sewing book for myself. It has a place for needles, fibers, and scissors. I was going to add pages and pockets but decided against it as the piece isn't that big. I love the way it turned out.

This is one of the Cricket Collections Acorns. I turned it into a Scissor Pocket. This is another example of how you can close the bottom of your pocket. I added fall leaves. This one is for a reader that admired the acorn in my "needs to be finished" drawer when I posted the thread about how I store my fabrics :) I hope you like it :)

I may even try to finish a couple more pieces off this weekend, I have several Christmas Ornies that I need to do the finishing on-BUT that's not set in stone :)

Have a GREAT weekend all :)
Thanks again :)
Many hugs :) (a special one for Christine...bless your heart, posting to me before coffee...ROFL! -BTW-you cracked me up-must be a sucker for cheesyness!!!!)

I LOVE doing finishing :)

I was still in finishing mode today and decided to finish off a piece I stitched 4-5 years ago. This is a freebie and it has been napping in my "needs to be finished" drawer for many years. I loved the heart swan case I made for Isabelle so much that I thought this piece would lend itself nicely to the same finishing ....and I was right.
I decided to use some pins around this one-I REALLY love that look you get with adding the glass pin heads. This turned out really nice and I am so happy to have one more project finished off. (I am still planning to finish another scissor pocket as a gift for a blog reader)

You are all very welcome for the Tutorial. I don't usually share finishing techniques, because I have such a difficult time writing up the instructions. I could show you all hands on much better than I can write instructions for you....but I enjoyed very much sharing the tutorial for the scissor pockets with friends/readers that are so appreciative. I have received so many e-mails of thanks :) YOU ARE VERY WELCOME!!

My Lottery Entry at the SBEBB (edited for more pics)

I worked on my Lottery Entry for the SBEBB. (I can safely share it as it is not a surprise as all lottery participants will post their entries so we can see what's up for the WIN) I decided that I would try something a little different and since the lottery will end in Nov and winning name will be posted on Dec. 10th. I went with a winter piece, as it will be coming into the winter months for me. I chose a HIH Snowman and made him into the most adorable scissor pocket. I hope the winner will like it as much as I do :)
Please excuse the quality of the pic, as my digital was dropped recently and I am using kids hand held cheapo thingy, until I can purchase a new digi.

Hubby had a look at the camera and did some adjusting to it and UNSTUCK a button that stuck when it was dropped and I took a couple more pics...they are a little better-especially the close-up

I enjoyed making the Snowman scissor pocket so much, I fished out an autumn piece from my "needs to be finished drawer" and made another one. This one is really gorgeous! I used a leaf print fabric and cording and glass pins to compliment the design.

Thank you all for the comments regarding the Halloween exchange I received as well as the darling gift from Karen :) I appreciate your taking time to comment :)

Thanks and Hello to the new readers :) I look forward to getting to know you better and hope you will continue to visit :)

I put The Flower Garden Fairy away after completing the Cross stitch and VERY little b/s. I will pick her up again soon :) Thanks for the comments on her :)

Cindy-Please e-mail me and I can shop for you if you like-I don't mind :)

Sharlee...ROFL! I hope I have a VERY long life and that I keep my eyesight and the use of my hands :) I will BEE such a happy old lady :) :) Sit and stitch :)

Thank you for your offers of the confetti pink braid...I picked up something yesterday that I think will do :) :) :) I appreciate your offers though :)

A SUPER GREAT mail day for me :)

I received my
Halloween Exchange today from Laurie (Larp). I was totally speechless when I opened the box. Inside was the MOST BEEutiful wallhanging! WOW! Laurie's stitching is perfect and the finishing fabrics she chose were outstanding and complimented the piece so well. The fabrics have witches hats and one has boo with eyes inside the word boo.. JUST too cute and the back has a leaf print -I love it! I can't say that enough! Not only did I receive the exchange piece from Laurie, but she included some wonderful extra's too! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Laurie!

Getting closer....

I stitched on The Flower Garden Fairy last night while watching Flight of The Phoenix and The Incredibles, and then again while watching the race today and I managed to get all the stitching with the exception of another row in the border done. It's a twiggy type border and has one more color in it and then it is on to backstitching. The backstitching however is a LOT and it will take several days just to do it. I don't know if I will stay with her til a finish or if I will put her away for this rotation and finish her next rotation :) EITHER way, I am thrilled with my progress! She is really a lovely piece. LOT's of vibrant colors and adorable. I just wish I had not procrastinated on her so long :)

******If anyone has any Kreinik #8 Braid in Confetti Pink, and would be willing to send me enough to do some frnch knots for her fairy dust, I would so appreciate it and would send you something in return :)*******

To those of you that have asked for the charts I listed to give away....I will not be sending them out immediately. I usually make a P.O. run at the end of every 2 weeks and it usually falls on a Friday. So that will put my next P.O. run on Oct. 7th. If I get a chance to mail out to any of you before then, I will let you know-if not, I will mail out on Oct. 7th :) you are MOST welcome for the charts up for grab :) I love to share and was just happy to find a good deal on some really good charts/kits :) I hope you all will enjoy them :) :) :)

Awww...you guys are the BEST!!! ( EDITED FOR NEED HELP )

I appreciate all your comments on the frustration I had over April Box-thank you so much :) ALSO, I feel I will need to see the doctor next week if my allergies do not ease up-I am having a terrible time with them and this is going on 3 weeks of not improving-I am miserable! (I am beginning to think it is related to something I am stitching with....EEK!!!!)

I continued to stitch on CA for a couple of hours this evening and I am unhappy with the greens used in her gown. I think they are too "springy" "Limey"....I used the colors given to me in the conversion....I don't think they look like the ones seen here or
here

Here is my progress...maybe I am panicking, but I don't wanna continue to stitch in the greens if they aren't the right color...I just don't think they are...HELP!!

I worked on Celtic Autumn
today-she is so lovely to stitch on :)

Leslie-the fabric is a silkweaver Solo, so I don't have a name :)

Enjoy the weekend all :) :) :)

Have you ever had a project that just didn't go well???

I have! I am working on it now! An April Box is my nightmare project (maybe it's because I tried to change it from a box to a sewing roll and it is punishing me...LOL!) NOTHING has gone right with this project! AND, yet again I need to frog-the WHOLE 4th panel.....SO....GUESS WHAT???? I am done!!! I will use the top 2 panels to make a needlecase (I still need to stitch in the queen stitches, which I fear may be my undoing...ROFL!!!!) but I am FINISHED with this piece!

Romy, send me your addy and I will send the chart right out to you :) !!

Thanks for all the comments on my feeling better-you all helped with that so much and I am back to my old self. AND, please know it was nothing ANY of you online did or said-it was a personal thing!!! Thanks as well for the links, and help with Queen Stitches....I'm gonna give it a go to finish the top two panels...what more of a mess could I make if I goof??? I don't think there is a measurement for it, since it has been a disaster out of the gate :) :) :) BUT-I am happy and figure I am just not suppose to stitch this particular project :) (I AM SO THANKFUL IT ISN'T A GIFT OR AN EXCHANGE) :) LOL!

I have goodies going in the mail to the following people on Friday-Isabelle, Missy, Aida, Harsha....AND..XXXXX...oops, can't tell ya that one as it is the halloween exchange! I can't wait til you get it partner :) I LOVED stitching for you :) :) :)

Hugs all around :)

MUCH better spirits today :)

Thank you all again for your concerns :) I tried to e-mail everyone that e-mailed me :) If I missed you, please forgive me :)

I am still stitching on April Box. My eyes are weak today, due to allergies and it makes it harder to stitch-have thought about doing some finishing instead, but as of now still stitching :) I still need to decide what to stitch in the "empty" space, skipping over it for now :) and still worrying over those queen stitches...if I have not mastered them by the weekend, I will ask Carol at the LNS for help. ANY tips from any of you would be so appreciated. I wonder what I am doing wrong or how I am making it so difficult...

Thanks again my friends :)

hugs :)

Thank you all for your e-mails of concern...

I didn't mean to alarm anyone. I am terribly sorry. I appreciate your concerns though, more than words can say. I am just so sad right now I am just so very sad!!!-but it will pass.......Truth is, I don't like to blog about negative things and I don't enjoy reading blogs that have negative or depressing posts on them, or overly opinionated people (mind you that is the blogger's right-I just don't enjoy it) and I tend to avoid them for days if that is what is being posted. SO...following my own example, I try not to bring my problems to my blog. I want this to be a place I can come to without feeling sad or frustrated. A place I can spend time with my friends and I know who each of you are and I love each of you for the friends you are to me :) :) THANK YOU!!!!

WELL, on the stitching front, I had a visit from Mr. Frog again...I sure wish someone would send me that FROG-BEE-GONE!!! Do you think they sell it at Home Depot??? :) An April Box is giving me fits...I had to frog Mr Rabbit on the left today. BUT, I am happily stitching him back in. The second band/panel has "some" over 2 stitching in the tree and a few of the leaves on the tree, so it seemed to go a WEE bit faster. There are still open spaces in the Tree and in the row above the tree that calls for Queen Stitches. A friend is suppose to try and help me with that stitch. ALSO, I need opinions about what I should stitch in the third panel as it is not supposed to be stitched if making this a box, but I will need to stitch something there as I am making a sewing roll. ANY suggestions would BEE so appreciated.

Again I would like to say to Renee how VERY much I love my NR! I have fondled it all day and it is already so precious to me :) Thank you so much !!!!

Kali, I never have had any of my fabric fade in any way-creasewise or otherwise and I have had pieces folded for years. HTH :)

Thanks for all the comments on my stitching room and the April Box progress, I appreciate you all commenting :)

hugs!

Thank you all for the lovely comments

on both the Swan piece and the NR :) I appreciate them very much :) I am going to stitch the Swan piece at least twice more-one for a friend and another for me :) :) :)

I have a "tiny" (I mean that literally) bit of stitching to show you...WOW, An April Box is SLOW going. This is my progress for the past 3 days..bear in mind that I had to frog the entire flower on the right hand side and it took me several hours to do that!!Frogging over one stitching is the PITS!!!!! I am not going to finish this into a box, but rather a sewing roll :)

Here is my progress so far (it's "TINY")

Cindy, I have some pics of my Stitching Room posted on my website. But I will share here as well. I have a chest (I have my eye on a new piece though-it's beautiful and when the price comes down a bit, I will buy it for my fabric storage)with 4 drawers that I keep my fabrics in. (thank you for commenting Cindy-it's nice to meet you)

This is the chest that holds my fabrics. The top drawer is full of projects that need to be finished off in some way. The other three drawers have my fabrics in them.

Drawer 1 Completed Cross Stitch that needs to be framed/finished

Drawer 2 has my 28 ct. Fabrics

Drawer 3 is my 32/34/36 ct fabrics

Drawer 4 has my odds and ends fabrics...tattersall, 18 ct. linens, and afghan fabrics

Quaker Swan Case For Isabelle (Finished)

I spent my evening with this lovely piece for Isabelle. I was so excited to finish it into the case tonight. It was a challenge because of it's heart shape. I think I did a nice job with it and I think it is lovely! I hope it meets your satisfaction dear friend :) I will let you know when I mail it out :)
Front

Outside Open

Inside

On the stitching front, I started a new piece. It is An April Box from Cherished Stitches. I am not going to finish it as a box, but as a sewing roll. It is slow going as a lot of the stitching I am doing now is over one AND, I made a BOOBOO and had to frog and it took twice as long to frog as it did to stitch the motif :) :) :)
It is a pretty good size piece, so it may be awhile before I am able to finish the stitching and turn it into a sewing roll.....BUT, I am excited :) LOL!

Missy-I have so much fabric it is unreal-I used to buy it by the yard when I worked for my LNS as I received a 40% discount and I would stock up on fabrics :) I am a member of Silkweaver's FOTM club as well and I do order from my LNS occasionally as well as an online friend's shop :)

Drowning in a sea of white....

I feel like I stitch for hours on Angel Of Winter, with nothing to show for it....the white is just so much and it feels like I never make progress!

I forgot to mention that I placed an order on Monday...
I ordered:
Homespun Elegance:
The Stitcher (yes, it an older one-but I love it)
Sheep Button Sampler
There is a Garden

Shepherd's Bush:
Busy

With My Needle:
Remember Me Sewing Pocket
My Treasures Sewing Case

Bright Needle:
Strawberry House Sampler
Pretty in Pink

1/4 yd. 40ct. Creme Brulee
1/8 yd. Vanilla Gold Legacy Linen

I can't wait to get these goodies :) I am also waiting on some fabrics that I am receiving in a trade as well as my NR exchange :) 3 of the 4 packages I sent out on Friday (9th) arrived at their destinations across the pond already....so the NR exchange for my partner should be there REALLY soon :) and I should be receiving my NR exchange very soon-I am watching my mailbox for all these wonderful goodies :) :) :)

I think the next few days will either be devoted to some finishing, and/or quickies or gifts for friends :)

Thank you all for your comments :)

You are so kind and I appreciate you visiting my blog and taking time to comment :) Thanks so much :)

Today I worked for a bit on Bird Bath. I stitched in another bird and some of the actual bird bath, but the colors are so light in the bird bath that it doesn't show up in my POOR photography....next rotation you should be able to see it better as I hope to stitch in more of the bird bath.

Today the first exchange piece from the SBEBB arrived at it's destination. Renee received her Needle Roll. Hop over and have a looksee :) Christine did a lovely job with it and designed it herself :)

I hope you all are having a good week :)

Thank you all so much for your comments on CA :)

I appreciate them so much :) I love getting comments and you all make it so enjoyable sharing my stitching :) THANK YOU !!!!

Today's WIP was The Flower Garden Fairy. I stitched in the Poem today. The Poem is an original by Barbara Baatz. I feel I am 3/4 through this project. There is still stitching to do and not to mention all the b/s...which is PLENTY, but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel now :) Here is my progress for this rotation :)

The Poem reads:

At Dawn She Sprinkles Fairy
Dust Upon the Sleeping Garden.
She Wakes The Hollyhock and
Pansy and The Sweetpea on
The Vine,
She Dances 'Round The Hyacynth
And Wakes The Columbine.

All Day Amid The Blooms She
Plays,
Their Secrets Hers To Keep
Till Once Again The Sun
Goes Down
And The Garden
Goes
To Sleep.

Celtic Autumn start :) (EDITED FOR UPDATE)

I finally took some time and started Celtic Autumn yesterday. This is a SAL that Carol organized. I love how she is looking on the fabric so far :) (thanks for your earlier comments :) )

I stitched a little more on her this afternoon/evening. Sharing my progress before putting her away until I pick her up again.

Other weekend stitching-I have had a busy weekend and not much stitching time-I did however do the finishing on my redwork exchange piece for the SBEBB on Friday evening. It turned out so lovely and I will be making one for myself very soon. I can't share for awhile as the exchange isn't due for mailing for a couple of months.
I was going to do the finishing on the Swan piece for Isabelle this weekend as well, but realized I had forgotten to buy one of the finishing materials needed, so I didn't get to finish that one yet :) I LOOK forward to it though and hope to do the finishing within the week :)
