Bird Bath finish and a quick update...

I don't really have a lot to say-it's been a LONG week for me with the death of my best friend's FIL and a couple of emotional B-day's that "would have been" this week. I have not felt very sociable or like blogging or being on the computer. My apologies.

I did finish Bird Bath on Wednesday...I took a pic then, but it wasn't a very good one-and I didn't feel like blogging about it-so I took another one this morning.
I am so happy to have this finished.

I have received my names for the Summer Exchange and the For the Birds exchange, both on the US Exchange BB and I am looking forward to stitching both exchanges (I received the same name for both exchanges...I hope she won't mind ;) )

Yesterday we had severe weather with golf ball sized hail (that was a first for me and my dad and my MIL both said they have not seen that in over 30 years-we have had marble sized hail many times, but nothing as large as golf ball sized). We suffered no damages, but my mom and her neighbors about 5 miles from me had damage to their homes-they had hail a little larger than golf balls.

I received a nice AAS package from Sylvie yesterday :) I sent an e-mail out to you last night, Sylvie-but I noticed that it came back as undeliverable this morning.
I wanted to thank you so much for your package! I needed that pick me up after the week I have had. I adore the chart Sylvie and already have a plan to use it and I also LOVE the fibers!! YUMMY! Thanks so much-I appreciate the thought you put into this package! You are a sweetie!

I miss you all and hope to catch up soon.
Thanks again for all your comments/e-mails about my mom :) I appreciate them so much and so did she!

Puppy update :)

I have had several people asking about the pups...they are just fine and have adjusted well to our home life. They have both grown since you last saw them :) Here they are out and about playing in the back yard :)Half of our back yard is fenced in just for the dogs, we did so about 5 years ago when we got Devon and Bear...we have 5 acres and it was too much and not safe to let them run free over our property. The other half is for our outdoor living :)

They LOVE the frisbee :)

Today was an outdoor day for me :) I took my stitching/camera/binoculars/lunch outside and enjoyed the beautiful day :) I found a few interesting characters that wanted their pics made as well :)
And this is one of our outdoor cats...he came to us just before Christmas last year and has stayed with us. My DD named him "Tony Stewart" (YES, after the Race Car driver) He found my rug that was outside drying on the deck railing. :)

And a beautiful cardinal on one of my feeders :)

And I can't forget our other outdoor cat, Biskit, that also came to us as a stray 4 years ago :)

Just when you think you know them....

Your children always surprise you and I received a surprise this evening :) My son sent me 2 dozen roses (some of the most beautiful colors I have ever seen) for Mother's Day-vase included. This is not typical of him-but I guess when you leave home, you miss your momma :) :) :) Aren't they gorgeous??? I have done everything it said to do in the instructions for having my flowers open up fully in the next 3 days :) I know they will be so beauitful and fill my home with a wonderful scent as well as the love of my son. Thank you son-I love you and I will always cherish this memory and keep it close to heart! :)

Beehive Purse

I have finished the stitching on Beehive Purse. I love the way this turned out and now I am looking forward to making it into the purse.

This is what the front will look like once I have sewn it into the purse...of course there will be a strap/handle of some sort and I think I will go back and add a honeycomb effect around the bee.

I haven't decided what fabric to use for a lining-but I have some gorgeous beehive/bee fabrics that both KarenV and Cathy sent to me-I am sure one of those will be perfect for the lining.

Thanks for your coments on Love Letters..I appreciate them much :)

WOW, I can't thank you all enough for your continued support....

I am continuing to receive e-mail and e-cards. I appreciate them very much :) I will keep you updated on my mom as we know more and find out concrete details. She will turn 60 next Saturday :) BIG DAY for us :) :)

I have been stitching and finishing a little. I am currently sticking to small projects as they transport easily (with the exception on HOHRH on Thursday's)to doctor visits (I am not working at mom's yet-we are still waiting on another MRI-so they know how to proceed-prayers would be much appreciated).....I hope some of you don't mind gifties as I will probably BEE getting in a lot of those :)

Today I stitched Les Cynes A La Fleur and finished it on top of a round box. I like the way it turned out.

And, last week I stitched the Replacement Exchange for Nancy (I didn't have her name)-but since we have heard that she will indeed receive from the person sending to her-I decided to forego the finishing format and finished this into an ornament for her. I did stitch with the colors we were suppose to use as I had started stitching it before hearing from the person that had her name so I decided to keep stitching it and send to Nancy anyway. I hope you like this Nancy and I will get it into the mail for you soon.

I haven't had the luxury of visiting blogs...sorry about that -just know I am thinking of you all and missing you very much-I KNOW that someday I will be able to have a normal blogging/internet routine again :)

I have been frustrated due to lack of sleep-worry and sadness-THEN to top it off...our a/c went out yesterday (86 degree weather yesterday and it took them until 6 last night to get here) and costs us $300.00 to have fixed last night and then this morning our septic tank backed up and it costs $225.00 to have pumped out. We had a day of shopping and gardening planned-but that has not happened! However, it did allow for me to do the finishing on the two projects I shared.

Edited to add my finished Quaker Sewing Case...I was able to do the finishing on it today as well.

Back (oops, I forgot to take a pic of the flap closed to show you the needlekeep-but you can see it on the other two I have finished...it is the same as those two except the fabric is the same as the scissor sheath)

Thank you so much dear friends...

I feel so blessed to have friends like you! I can't thank you enough for your e-mail, posts, e-cards, thoughts, prayers and understanding-some of you are such kindred spirits and I just feel so blessed to know you :) Thank you!!!!

KarenV and I are stitching Love Letters from SB as a mini SAL. I managed to stitch the inside of the heart this week and will pick it back up next week to try and finish the outside of the heart. I have enjoyed this one so far and found that it stitches up fairly quick.
