And the heat continues....

Can anyone see Autumn just around the corner??? I'm feeling the Dog Days of Summer right now!! WOW!

Carol received her B-day giftie, so I can post it here :)
Finished into a pinkeep.
This was a great stitch.
I left off the leaves by our names and added
a charm that reflected each of us.
Carol the gardener, and myself the bee.
I am so happy you like it, Carol :)

And I have some finishing to share too.
This is June from Shepherd's Bush.
I finished this one as the top of a candy tin.
There is a place for needles/pins inside the lid
and a place for scissors in the bottom of the tin.
I used a bee print to line inside and bottom of tin.

I finished this into a pinkeep as well. I love the way it came out.

Also I also finished off Tall Tree Sampler from HIH. I tried to incorporate all the greens in the ribbons/braid.

No stitching yesterday or today as of yet-I found a few things around the house that needed doing and involved a good bit of time. I **THINK** I may be finally catching up here at home :)

HOT here today...headed for triple digits! I'm headed for the pool :) :) :)

Jenna, the fabric is actually the called for Garden State Java from R&R for the QG piece. My photo doesn't show the true color-it is a lot more greenish.

Patricia-the frame around the JJ piece is a Q-snap. You can purchase them in several sizes at Hobby Lobby, some Michael's and most ANY LNS at very reasonable prices :)

Crazee4books -thanks for visiting-I appreciate it :) :)

AND, thanks to you all for welcoming me back so warmly! You overwhelm me with your kindness :)

Have a great weekend!
Hugs :)

Thank you all so much for your comments

on Quaker Garden :) I appreciate them so much and it was so great to share with you all again :) For now I have put it away and will wait until Myrna receives her fabric and pick it up again :)

So, what will I work on now??? Oooh, something I have been itching to start :)
I have pulled out everything needed for A Needlework Garden and Needlebook, A Needlework Garden Thread Pallet Case, A Needlework Garden Fob and Scissor Case Accessory AND Mimi's Tape Measure. I can't wait to get started :) I have already stitched the Needlework Garden Snip Basket-so I Am anxious to stitch the rest of the accessories :) I will probably start with the Needlework Garden and Needlebook.
Gorgeous aren't they??

Quaker Garden start/progress :)

Here is my progress on Quaker Garden. I appreciate all your encouragement on this one :) And thanks to those that have welcomed me to the SAL :) I have enjoyed it so far and it does seem to be a quick stitch. I think I may stay with it a bit longer before putting it away-initially I had thought about continuing with it to the end, but I may want to do some other stitching this week :) Not sure yet :)

My Stitching Life for the past couple of months...

First I would like to thank you all for your sweet comments and friendships :) I have so enjoyed reading your e-mails/comments over the past couple of days :) Thank you for the "welcome backs" and the " We missed you's" :) I feel the same about each of you-I REALLY missed you all :) It's good to be back :)

I thought I would share my stitching for the past two months. I don't have a lot to share compared to what I am accustomed to stitching in a couple of months, but each piece felt like such a great accomplishment, due to my time limits :) Thanks for looking :)

I made a little progress on Sunflower Romance. I really have not kept up with my SAL's as I just couldn't find the time to do so...I hope to get back to them soon.

I stitched this cute little LB design and plan to stitch the other 2 that go with it and finish them all into a frame with 3 openings.

I got way behind on the Prairie Schooler SAL, but I did get May motif stitched :)

I also stitched and finished this cute Bee design :)

This is my Summer Exchange for Myrna with the USEBB. I didn't take a pic of the extra's I sent. I finished this piece off into a flatfold.

And this cutie by JJ was a blast to stitch. I plan to finish it into the topper for an oval box and give it to our new preacher...I think she will like it :)

This is my For The Birds Exchange for Myrna -I made her a needlebook-(think she's tired of me getting her name???)I also sent a Goldfinch sock feeder (Not pictured)

I have 2 pieces I can't share just yet as they are gifties...but look for them soon :)

I was suppose to join Karen's QG SAL, but I didn't have the chance to shop for supplies (fibers) so I didn't get to start with everyone else...however I was finally able to get to my LNS on Saturday and picked up fibers I needed for several projects and I did start QG today :) No pic yet :)

Thank you all again. I can't wait until I get the chance to catch up with each of you and your blogs :)

Big hugs :)

Many of you have inquired about me...thank you for that :) Things are getting back to normal for me, but I am still not ready to commit to blogging/internet right now as I got so far behind here at home over the past 3 months that I am playing catch up and also trying to find time for R&R. I do update my website when I have something to share (I pay for it and feel it should be used first over the free site)-which hasn't been very often lately, but I am slowly getting back into my stitching. It really has felt strange not to stitch as often as I was accustomed to.

Many have asked about my mom -again THANK you for your concern. Mom is doing OK-she fractured her foot 2 weeks ago-we didn't know it was fractured until she went to the doctor this past Thursday. She has a boot on it now and he says it will take about 2 months to completely heal and the knot on it could take that long as well to disappear. She caught her foot on a hose reel one morning and that was the result.
As for her shoulders, she is still due for surgery in October. She has been determined to hold out until after the season. We are anxious about it, but praying that it will give her relief. Thanks again for keeping her in your prayers.

I welcome your e-mail and have enjoyed hearing from some of you-it is so nice to know that even though I was away- some of you are still here for me :) I appreciate your understanding of my decision to stay away just awhile longer :) Things have just really been overwhelming for the past 3 months and I need some "ME" time. I hope to get back into blogging/sharing/commenting soon :)

Leonie, thanks for your comment on my blog and my stitching. You can find Pat Thode designs under "Heartstrings The Artist Collection". I hope this helps!

I hope you are all enjoying your summers :)
Love,
BeckySC
