Fall House Themed Exchange from Laurie

I couldn't imagine what I was receiving in today's mail when my daughter came in with a box and said mom it's for you. I sometimes forget that I will be receiving exchanges too-I get so caught up in sending them.

Today's package was from Laurie for the Fall House Themed exchange on the USEBB. She sent me a lovely doorknob pillow using a Ewe & Eye & Friends design! The fabric she used with it is just the perfect print for the design. It's already hanging on my pantry door for everyone to see. She also included a beautiful beehive towel...too pretty to use and a house note pad and a house shaped picture frame.

Thank you, Laurie for such a nice exchange! I appreciate it very much.

I must say....I am SICK of painting faces on ornaments!! That's my job-I am the face painter and I am so ready to be finished with the bazaar and get back to stitching! I actually see faces when I close my eyes! Saturday is the big day-send good thoughts that this years bazaar will be as successful as the past 26 years. We do so many good things towards missions with the funds raised.

It's good to "see" you KarenV :)

Thanks for your comments/e-mail -I do appreciate them. I have had several e-mail over the past week asking for finishing assistance-Please give me until next week to get something wrote up to pass onto those that have asked. I have had a lot of new e-mailers and you all have been so nice :) Thanks so much-I have enjoyed hearing from you and meeting you and PLEASE know that if I have not gotten back with you yet, it is because I am so busy with getting ready for the bazaar. I am not online much-UNLESS I receive an exchange and want to let the person that sent to me know it arrived and get a pic posted to say thank you. I WILL be in touch with those that sent e-mails as soon as I can :)

Fall House Exchange

CathyB received my Fall House Exchange today :) I SO enjoyed stitching/finishing this one :) I used the New PS chart, Autumn Leaves and did my own thing with it to make a needlebook for Cathy. I also used one of the houses to make a Tape Measure cover to match :) I am so glad you like it, Cathy :) It was such a pleasure to stitch for you my friend! I borrowed one of your pics from the BB, as I changed the inside bow before sending and didn't retake the pic :)

WOOO, something I can share....

I have just been stitching and stitching but as they are gifts I can't share them yet :) BUT, I have some stitching I did for myself over the weekend that I can share :)
A month or so ago KarenV asked me if I would like to have her Winter Snapperland project as she no longer had any interest in stitching it. She had stitched the first two designs and the border for those two. I was thrilled to have it and honored also that I would be completing the stitching on a project she had worked on. I pulled it out over the weekend and stitched the 3rd design and started the fourth :)
You can;t see all the sparklies in the fabric. It's cloudy out and I can't get a good pic. But the fabric is opalescent. Thank you so much, Karen for the opportunity to adopt this piece :) I love it and will cherish it!
Here is what I stitched "Sleigh Ride"

And to show Karen's part with mine :)

Also, I am happy to say that I stitched 4 motifs on And They Sinned over the weekend :) Will try to remember to share a pic soon :)

Have a great week all :)

Link to B/day Christmas Club :)

Thanks for your interest :) I have created this blog for us to use :) I will add you as a member after I receive your info :) The details for the club are posted there with a permanent link included as well.

AS for a question posed...This is an opportunity for those that would like to take part and send and receive on their Birthday and Christmas that otherwise may not due to restrictions related to the costs of sending gifts to all our blogging friends (which will only keep growing :) :) )and the time restrictions of those that work or do not have a lot of free time to devote to gifts. I know my list is WAAAAAAAAAAY too long and there is just no way I could send to everyone on that list. But in the club, twice a year you will have the opportunity to send and receive a gift/s from 2 of your blogging/stitching friends. What you do outside of this group as far as gifting goes is entirely up to you.

Thanks again for your interest :) I look forward to a large group of participants for this great club.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments

on the PINK Quaker for Pat. I appreciate them VERY much :) Von-I sent you an e-mail :) Those that asked about the fiber if you click "PINK" it will take you to my website and all the specifics of the project are there :)

I don't have anything I can share in this post, pic-wise...as all my stitching lately has been gift related-however I do have a couple of thoughts to share.

I was reading on Barbara's blog today about how she felt bad that she will not be able to send all her blogging friends b-day and/or Christmas gifts...We all love you Barbara and you need not send us anything-your friendship is gift enough-at least for me :) :) :) :)You have given me so much in friendship since I have met you!
BUT-it got me to thinking and I can relate to how you feel, as I feel I need to send to all my friends as well and it's just NOT doable...and I really hate to pick and choose, as I don't want to hurt any of my friends feelings by sending to some and not others. SOOOOOOOOOO I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a " Blogging Friends Gift Program "...the way it would work is we would sign up and receive ONE name each for Birthday and Christmas and we would be responsible for sending that person a gift. We wouldn't stitch/buy for everyone-just the name we receive. That way we could all participate and receive a gift on our B-days and Christmas but not feel pressured to send to everyone or have the expense that is sometimes involved :) There would be an e-mailing list so that everyone that joins could send a birthday/Xmas wish through e-card or e-mail or blog. If you would be interested...please e-mail me at steele4 @ Comporium . net (remove spaces) with your information (Name, mailing address, blog URL, and a wishlist or your likes/interest) and if there is enough interest, I will work on setting it up on a separate blog and working out all the details. :) I will need all those that wish to participate to send your info to me by NO later than Dec 1, 2006. The program will officially start in Jan. 2007 if there is interest in it. All stitching bloggers welcome to join in.

Is anyone out there working on And They Sinned?? I pulled mine out today and put it on my floor stand and bought another lamp so that I could set it up in a different space and work on it from time to time-away from my current project/s. Maybe if I put a little time in each day it will get stitched!!!! It has been neglected for FAR too long! I would really love to have another stitcher/s to SAL with on this one. Nothing formal...very relaxed SAL!

I also pulled out my lap stand and I am trying to decide which other WIP I want to put on it and have ready to go. I never use my stands (as I have always stitched in hand until recently when I have been having difficulty with my hands) and I paid a pretty penny for both of them-so I decided to set them up and put them to good use :)

I have finally had enough of blogrolling and deleted my account with them. It was nice while it lasted, but lately it has been very unreliable. I switched over to Google Reader and LOVE it so far! I was so tired of not knowing when someone had updated and I don't have time to check every blog.

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I am-and I am feeling so much better.
I have sure been miserable for a few weeks, but my allergies and sinuses are calm today :)

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month...

The Fall Quaker exchange on the SBEBB was PINK Themed. I found out this morning that Pat received my exchange. I really enjoyed this exchange and it reminded me how important this month is for women (and men) everywhere! Pat hasn't opened it yet, as she is trying to hold off until she gets her package ready to go-she said that would give her the incentive to do so-knowing she had a box from me to open :).I have warned her not to visit my blog if she's not ready to see what I sent :)
I chose a design from Historic Stitches for Pat. I finished it off into a needlebook/pinkeep and I must say I need to make another for myself :) I also sent some other goodies, but I have been really neglectful in taking pics of my extras :) Maybe Pat will post them later :) I enjoyed stitching/finishing this exchange so much! I hope you like it, Pat :) :) :)

AOK's

SaturdayI received two wonderful packages from friends :) The first is from SharonG. She reads my blog/website and e-mailed me the sweetest note this past week. She was a member, way back when, of a charity group I founded. I didn't know she still kept up with me :) I was thrilled to hear from her! She sent me a framed piece...I LOVE IT!!! Isn't is just the cutest design...that face among the leaves to make a jack-o-lantern. How cute is that?? And the cute little stuffed pumpkin and candy. That was so sweet of you, Sharon! Thank you so much :)

And the second is from my oldest online friend, Shelleen :)
She sent me not one but four scissor fobs! WOW! I love them all :) She also sent a Mill Hill Leaflet with some wonderful Beehives in it! Can't wait to stitch from it!
Thank you so much, Shelleen :) You're a sweetie!

Thank you my friends...I have been under the weather the past few days with body aches/earaches/sore throat and fever and you brightened my day with your kindness :)

My uncle is not doing well at all and is in ICU, could you please say a prayer for him. Thanks so much!

Thank you all for the comments on the Halloween bag for Cathy :) You are all so sweet :) It is really an easy finish-the hardest part was enlarging the bag template for the fabric count :)
