on the PINK Quaker for Pat. I appreciate them VERY much :) Von-I sent you an e-mail :) Those that asked about the fiber if you click "PINK" it will take you to my website and all the specifics of the project are there :)
I don't have anything I can share in this post, pic-wise...as all my stitching lately has been gift related-however I do have a couple of thoughts to share.
I was reading on Barbara's blog today about how she felt bad that she will not be able to send all her blogging friends b-day and/or Christmas gifts...We all love you Barbara and you need not send us anything-your friendship is gift enough-at least for me :) :) :) :)You have given me so much in friendship since I have met you!
BUT-it got me to thinking and I can relate to how you feel, as I feel I need to send to all my friends as well and it's just NOT doable...and I really hate to pick and choose, as I don't want to hurt any of my friends feelings by sending to some and not others. SOOOOOOOOOO I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a " Blogging Friends Gift Program "...the way it would work is we would sign up and receive ONE name each for Birthday and Christmas and we would be responsible for sending that person a gift. We wouldn't stitch/buy for everyone-
just the name we receive. That way we could all participate and receive a gift on our B-days and Christmas but not feel pressured to send to everyone or have the expense that is sometimes involved :) There would be an e-mailing list so that everyone that joins could send a birthday/Xmas wish through e-card or e-mail or blog. If you would be interested...please e-mail me at steele4 @ Comporium . net (remove spaces) with your information (Name, mailing address, blog URL, and a wishlist or your likes/interest) and if there is enough interest, I will work on setting it up on a separate blog and working out all the details. :) I will need all those that wish to participate to send your info to me by NO later than Dec 1, 2006. The program will officially start in Jan. 2007 if there is interest in it. All stitching bloggers welcome to join in.
Is anyone out there working on And They Sinned?? I pulled mine out today and put it on my floor stand and bought another lamp so that I could set it up in a different space and work on it from time to time-away from my current project/s. Maybe if I put a little time in each day it will get stitched!!!! It has been neglected for FAR too long! I would really love to have another stitcher/s to SAL with on this one. Nothing formal...very relaxed SAL!
I also pulled out my lap stand and I am trying to decide which other WIP I want to put on it and have ready to go. I never use my stands (as I have always stitched in hand until recently when I have been having difficulty with my hands) and I paid a pretty penny for both of them-so I decided to set them up and put them to good use :)
I have finally had enough of blogrolling and deleted my account with them. It was nice while it lasted, but lately it has been very unreliable. I switched over to Google Reader and LOVE it so far! I was so tired of not knowing when someone had updated and I don't have time to check every blog.
I hope you are all having a great weekend! I am-and I am feeling so much better.
I have sure been miserable for a few weeks, but my allergies and sinuses are calm today :)
hugs,
BeckySC
