Practice piece....

I have been wanting to try a mattress pincushion finish so today I stitched up this redwork to use as a practice piece. It was a lot of fun and I will certainly be finishing others with this technique.

Thanks so much for your comments on the Autumn pinkeep. I appreciate them so much :)

Kajsa, the button is the one that's called for-but I had to buy it seperately. And as always, the button cost more than the chart :)

Thanks for visiting with me :)

hugs,

I love your little mattress pincushion. Is the ribbon stitched on or just held on by the pins? The same question with your pinkeeps that have ribbon around them, is the ribbon held on just by the pins? Kayona

esta hermoso... aunque a mi me gustaria si la cinta va intercalada en la tela,,, y arriba no hacer laso si no plegar la cintas y colocar un pin hat con cristal....

this beautiful one… although to my I would like if the tape goes put in in the fabric, and above not to make bow if not to fold tapes and to place a pin hat with crystal…. and to hard sew the edge with thread in cofret in red

Good afternoon, it is the first comment.
Because it is poor at English, it can't be written well.
They are all very wonderful works.
It wants to come to see it again.

Beautiful finishing job, Becky. All your work is lovely. Would you consider putting your finishing instructions on your tutorial page? I haven't been able to find finishing instructions except on the French sites, and while pics they show are excellent, I would like to be able to follow along with words also. Thanks
