I have been working on this set for a few days and finished it up today. I enjoyed stitching on it and I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Good Deeds and a Birthday gift sent/received

I enjoyed this one so much. Good Deeds by LHN (I seem to be allergic to something used in the Crescent Colours though as everytime I stitch with them I am miserable with allergy symptoms-BUT stitch on :) )
As most of you know or have guessed, I love boxes-all kinds shapes and sizes. I decided on a box finish for this one :) I lined the inside with one of the lovely prints KarenV sent me for my birthday :) I love the way it looks and the way the project turned out. My pictures do not do it justice!




This is a b-day gift I sent to a special friend and it has been received. I chose ABC Heart from Sue Hillis and finished it into a pinkeep, I sent some other heart gifties and a couple other items as well but neglected to take a pic. Enjoy my friend and Happy Birthday!


I also received a lovely b-day gift from dear Linda P in NC. She sent me some yummy finishing fabrics and a lovely bee ribbon :) Thank you so much my friend and you can bet they will be put to good use :) What a nice surprise!! I will get an email of thanks off to you very soon :)


Many have asked and my hubby is almost 100% now :) The pain has gone and the numbness in his leg is fading-though they tell him some numbness may linger for his lifetime-but that's nothing compared to what could have been :) Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I am a FIRM believer in the power of prayer.

Miss Penny :)

Today was reserved for stitching and doing the finishing on Miss Penny! I was SO excited about her when I saw her at my LNS on Wednesday :) I couldn't wait to do the stitching and put her on display in my stitching room. I just adore her and she was a joy to stitch/finish.

Nantucket Opera Bag and Accessories

I finished this one up today and it was such a treat to stitch and do the finishing on :) I just love it!!
This is the front of the fobs and front of scissors case. (not that you can tell from the photo, but I am so proud of my Queen stitches on the fob/scissors case-I have always struggled with them, but did very well with them this time! Maybe I have conquered them!!)

The package was beautifully wrapped and SUCH a cute card! The little Bee is just too cute! I keep all my cards I receive for any/all occasions and this one will have a special place among them!

I stitched this adorable freebie from Windy Willows today and finished it into a tin. I love the way it turned out and the design was a fun stitch.
I lined the inside with a lovely blue print, butI decided to leave the tin as it was on the outside, as I liked the look with the fabric/colors in design and finishing.

Gift for Michelle :)

Michelle did not receive her B-day and/or Xmas gift from her partner in the Blogger's Bday group, and repeated attempts to contact the person that was suppose to send to Michelle has been fruitless, so I sent a replacement. I sent along some extra goodies but did not take a picture of them. I wish it could have been more.




I really don't have very much to say-I have been stitching, but I can't share any of it as it is gifts/exchanges :) I'll share when able.

We have our VFD BBQ fundraiser this weekend-it will be a BUSY weekend for me :)

Oh MY!! I am speechless...

I received such a lovely surprise in today's mail :) Had I realized it was for my birthday, I would have held it a few days before opening (OK-well, maybe not as I just love opening surprises)!!! Veronica (Helen and Su's mum) sent me such a lovely birthday gift! I can't get over it. I love it and will cherish it always! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, Veronica. I can't tell you how much this means to me :) You are such a sweet soul.
The card is AWESOME too :)
This little pillow ornament is so beautifully stitched and finished. WOW!!




Many have asked about hubby. It seems we take a step forward and then a couple back-but even so, we are just both so thankful he is still with us, that the set backs are only blemishes in the larger picture!!!!! They are sending him back to the doctor on Friday for the numbness in his left leg and for the pain in his right leg and lower back. He can't go more than 4 hours without pain meds and they feel he should be progressing more than that and are worried about the numbness which they thought would have started to improve by now....SOOOOOOOO back for another visit :) Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers :) Thank you :)

I need to say some Thank You's :)

First I would like to thank all of those that have left a comment, sent snail mail cards and email about my hubby...we truly appreciate it and feel so blessed by you :) Please continue to keep us in your thoughts as we go through the healing process. Hubby seems to be doing better after being put on the anti-inflammatory meds this week and he tells me to "stop worrying and enjoy life"...I know that should be what I am doing, but it's a little harder to do than he make think-I was so very worried and scared through it all, but I am feeling better about it all and now feel he will be OK.

Sandy, Donna, Claire and Bobbi...we received your snail mail cards today! Thank you so very much! He has received some really great cards this past week from family/friends/church members and online pals!

Next I would like to say thank you to Susan and Kelly for their AOK's :) I can't tell you how much they brightened my day :) I appreciate your thoughtfulness :)

Susan sent me a card and a beautiful fiber :) Can't wait to use it :)

And Kelly sent a lovely bee box! Isn't it just BEEutiful?? Thank you both so very much :)




I guess as long as I am here I can share my Winter exchange to Carolyn. I decided on a basket finish this time and enjoyed putting this together for her. I was so worried and stressed over it as I had so very much going on the last half of 2007 and now into 2008...but she assured me she loves it :) I am so glad, Carolyn! I have had the best time being your seasonal exchange partner :)
