"B" Needleminder

I stitched this Friday night while watching a movie. I had specific finishing in mind for it and it turned out just too cute!! Both sides are magnetic-the front to hold my needles and the back so it can sit on my magnetic board if I wish. I used a strong magnet inside (cut to fit). I mounted the design on two pieces of thin carpenters wood-cut to fit. Magnet is an industrial magnet that my dad got from the company he works for-my mom gave it to me.
The item on the needle minder is a Thread Picker from My Big Toe-it is designed for people like me that "unstitch" when we have to frog. It is easier than using our needles as it gives us a bit more to hold onto and it's easier to find when it flings across the room while froggin'.

Thank you all :)

Feeling much better :) Just very wrung out from a very long day/night. I have had food poisoning before and this was a very mild case compared to it...about 30 of us got sick from a cookout several years back and it was much worse than what I just went through-I had prepared myself for that again, but thank goodness this one was nothing in comparison. Thank you for your well wishes :) I am feeling so much better and will be back on track SOON. I am hoping to do the finishing on a piece I stitched Friday :) We'll see if I feel like it :)

Well, just wanted to say thank you for your well wishes and prayers and email :) You are all so sweet and I appreciate it so very much :)

I will draw a name on Sunday for the pinkeep :)

Have a lovely weekend! I still have a nagging headache-HOWEVER, I am not going to let that interfere with my stitching :)

Another floss tag and answers :)

I wasn't going to post this one as I know you must be tired of hearing from me-but as I have had so many questions over the last two days I thought I would post and answer them :)
The tool I bought is pliers (shown below) especially made for securing eyelets (which are also called grommets and it comes with several eyelets along with a few other things like snaps, studs and sockets )I purchased mine at Wal-Mart :)It is NOT a regular pair of pliers-but really easy to use-I also have the other tool that you use a hammer with-both are really simple). Nope, this is NOT a difficult finishing technique-I find it one of the easier ones. Is there a tutorial-YES, Staci offers a wonderful tutorial. I purchase my rings at craft stores. However I am looking for some colored FLOSS rings :) Yes, eyelets come in several colors and shapes :) I think that covers all the questions-if not-let me know :)

Liberty Floss Ring Tag

I bought a new eyelet tool this morning (the pliers) to see how easy it would be in securing the eyelets on floss tags and I couldn't wait to try it out...so I stitched this really quick design by SB and finished it as a floss ring tag. The tool works great and is under $10.00 :)I am going to send this one to live with stitching friend Andrea in Ma. She doesn't have a blog but she reads mine daily and is such a dear emailing/stitching friend and I wanted to send her a little friendship gift :) I hope you like it, Andrea. I will mail it out the next time I go to the PO :)
I am quickly becoming addicted to this finish and I have lot's of floss rings I can add the tags to as well as friends I can send them to :) :) :) :)

USA Scissors Pocket

After seeing this freebie stitched up on Carol's blog, and beautifully finished as a fob, I had to pull mine from the notebook and stitch it. It was SUPER fast and I stitched it last night while watching a movie, but did not get the finishing done until today :) I chose a scissors pocket for this one and it is going to live with my dear sweet friend Jamie in NC :) I hope you like it, Jamie. It will be going out in tomorrows mail :)
I had a wonderful print to match it and worked well for this type finishing :)

Plant Love :)

What could be better right?? Plant Love :) I just love that saying :) Today has been an indoor day for me-storms have threatened all day here. I have been preparing for my son's b-day celebration here tomorrow (you know-cleaning, baking and all that goes with a party) and stitching :) I stitched this adorable LK and finished it off as a box topper. I have had this FUN box forever and have been searching for just the right design to go on it and I think Plant Love is just perfect :) I want to give this one away to one of my readers as well (nope, you don't have to be a regular commenter-everyone welcome-even if you have entered other giveaways-you are still welcome to have your name added) :) But you will need to leave a comment on this post (as I will print them all out and draw from the comments) that you would like a chance to have your name entered into the drawing and I will draw a name early next week :)
Also, as we are having a B-day party here tomorrow-I am going to put off the drawing for the tin until Monday morning :)

Summer Gingham Tin

This month's Challenge was a tin finish :) I stitched and finished mine today. I stitched Summer Gingham for my tin topper. These are always fun as they are so tiny over one on the 28ct. Riviera gingham.
I used a lovely summery print for the inside.
I am giving this tin away to one of my readers. If you would like your name entered into the draw for this tin, please leave a comment on this post that you would like a chance to win the tin:) I will draw a name Sunday evening and mail it off on Monday, along with several international packages that people won from my giveaway in April :)

Patriotic Exchange for Marie

I was in a personal Patriotic exchange with a group of friends and I received Marie's name :) I have stitched for Marie for a few exchanges now and I so enjoy having her name! I chose San Man's Four America for Marie and finished it as a box. I didn't line the inside of the box as it was already very patriotic. I hope you will enjoy it, Marie :)

Patriotic Exchange from CathyB

Oh WOW!! I don't know what to say...I was among a group of friends that did a personal patriotic exchange and to my JOY CathyB had my name! I am always excited to see a package with Cathy's name on it as I know what's inside will be a beauty :)
She stitched an EEF design for me and I LOVE it! Cathy, you couldn't have chosen anything more perfect :) And your finishing is as always flawless! She also sent a chart from my wish list and some fibers, pins and fabrics! I love it all, Cathy :) Thank you SO very much! You made my day!! Emailing you now :)

Bless Our Home

I love this one! Even though I was disappointed in the Peanut Brittle Crescent Colour (roof, tree trunk, flag pole, door and dog)as it had no variations in it and does not look like the other Peanut Brittle CC I have seen-mine is much lighter, but I think it turned out just beautifully! Still up in the air over how I want to finish it :)

Personal exchange for Su :)

Su and I did a personal exchange and she has received what I stitched for her. I know Su is a big SB fan, so I stitched Tending the Blooms and Keeping the Bees from shepherd's Bush and finished them off as a set- a pinkeep and a scissors pocket. I had to substitute the bee button on Tending the Blooms as I have already used it as I have previously stitched these two for myself :) I left the button off Keeping the Bees :) I hope you will enjoy them Su :) I loved our exchange!! Thank you friend :)

HoHRH update and a special gift :)

Today I received a special gift from my very dear friend Jamie :) She sent me Land That I love kit from SB :) I have wanted this one for awhile and it was such a treat to receive it today :) Rambler told me someone was at the door-I didn't hear anything, but it was FedEX with this wonderful gift from Jamie :) Thank you SO very much my friend :) I have sent you and email :) I just love it and YOU :)

I did not stitch on WIP's or SAL's any last week as there was so much going on here and I was kinda down/sad/worried/frustrated all week-I just didn't want to look at large projects. I felt kinda guilty about it all week, but friends said none of that allowed!!! So I got over it! I did work on HoHRH this morning though :) SMALLS keep calling my name (I think I enjoy the finishing of them even moreso than the stitching-I'm addicted to finishing :):):)) and as our stitching it suppose to be fun/relaxing and even therapeutic, I will just go with the flow and stitch whatever I'm in the mood for :)

Thank you all so much for your visits and email. You are truly wonderful friends. Rick is feeling much better today, I think the antibiotics have helped a great deal. I think he may finally be on the road to recovery! What a relief! It has been a LONG week!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend :)
