Wish Granted

Oh, I did receive a Wish yesterday. I wished for a Floss Holder on the MAW board and Sally granted my wish. Just look at this beauty. She did an excellent job on it and I just adore it :) Such tiny perfect stitches :) Thanks again, Sally-you made my day!

Thank you for your emails...

I have been receiving many email asking if I am OK....this is the best way to let my readers know I am OK :) I have been a little down-truth be told I didn't handle all I went through in such a short period very well, which is understandable, but no excuse and may have hurt some feelings (family and friends) in the process and for that I apologize from the bottom of my heart. After emailing with a sweet friend-I am feeling much less down now. I have some dear online friends and I love you bunches!!
I haven't been posting as I have been stitching away on the 12 Halloween exchanges I am personally involved in :) I can't show them -I have 6 of the 12 stitched and steadily working on them daily. After they are completed, I have 5 other commitments to stitch and then maybe I can share something will you all :)

Again, thanks SO very much for the blog awards. I appreciate them so very much. I LOVE each blog I visit (I have 301 blogs in my reader) and could not possibly pick and choose among them-you are ALL worthy of ALL awards :)

Hopefully soon I will be able to visit blogs-haven't been able to for several reasons, but maybe after this marathon stitching slows down I can get back to commenting :) Thank you all for understanding.

Before I go-I have a few friends that are going through some tough things right now-please know my thoughts, prayers and love are with you daily-your names have been added to the prayer list. I hope things continue to improve. Also, to my niece, I am thinking about today you as you undergo your second skin graft sweet girl!! I certainly hope your pain is a lot less now. Lotsa love to you!!

Thanks again for your concern dear readers/friends. I appreciate it so very much :)
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

When Barnabee Met Bella

I just love the way this one turned out. I felt it was a lot of stitching for a biscornu, with many color changes but in the end I knew I would love it :)

Let's see...

Before I went to the ER on the 23rd of July I had a few pieces that I couldn't share as they were gifts and/or exchanges. They have been received and I can share them now.

First up is the Seasonal Exchange for Amy. Amy really preferred not to receive seasonal pieces, so I chose something I knew she would like...bunnies! I finished it as a box topper. I love this one so much, it was the first piece I ever struggled with parting with-I usually have no problems with that as I know I am stitching for someone else-but this one was just too adorable and I coveted it for myself...but in the end, it was sent to live with Amy. I hope you will enjoy it, Amy!

Next is the Make a Wish for Carol. She wished for a tin topper and I granted her wish. I had wanted to stitch this part of a Gail Bussi design for awhile and thought it represented Carol and I with flowers and beehive.

Also, sent with the MAW for Carol was her birthday gift...this is not what I had intended for Carol's birthday gift, but I became sick and original plans fell through. Luckily I had this to fall back on so Carol didn't have to go without a B-day gift. I finished this SB NR design into a pinkeep.

The night before I fell ill, I did the finishing on a piece I had started. Little did I know that the next morning I would be awaken by debilitating pains in my back and stomach and not be able to stitch for awhile. I just love how this little piece turned out. Finished as a mattress pincushion.

Last but certainly not least is Happy Home Sampler. I felt so bad for so long that I didn't stitch at all and honestly wondered if I would be able to sttich again...YES, that's how bad I felt. When I finally had some energy, it was still not enough to dig through my stash...as much as I love going through my stash for the perfect piece to stitch-so I decided to pull out one of my WIP's and work on it when I could. It only took me 2 days of stitching to finish it up. I think it is beautiful and it will be one of the pieces I take to be framed in October.

There is no way I can catch up on blogs...OH my Goodness, there are so many unread feeds in my google reader that I will just have to start fresh.
Thank you to those that nominated me for Blog Awards...I appreciate you thinking of me-you're very kind! I am one of those that cannot choose a mere 5-7 blogs to give special mention to as ALL the blogs I read are very creative and AMAZING and I wouldn't feel right picking and choosing among friends!!

I can't end this post without another THANK YOU for the email and comments on my last post. I was/am very fortunate to have so many wonderful people praying for me. I know I have been on several prayer lists and I am so thankful to you all for adding my name to those lists. I am a TRUE believer in the power of prayer. Thank you for lifting me up in prayer. Thank you to friends that cooked for our family for a week. You were life savers and the food was delicious (I miss it-but am SO thankful to be cooking again for our family-it was very difficult for someone as active as I am to be flat on my back for over a week)- I hope I haven't missed anyone and if so please know it is not intentional...you are all loved and appreciated and I hope to repay your kindness.

Thank you for visiting. I feel so blessed to have you visit with me. Please come again.

hugs,

Overwhelmed by your kindness...

I finally had the opportunity -actually I should say I finally felt like reading through my comments as well as my emails-BOY, was there a lot of email :)I have answered as many as I could today and I must say thank you so much to all of those that took a minute to leave a comment or send an email-even when you knew I wouldn't be reading them for a bit-it was very touching to me as I read through them all today. Some of you are just so wonderful and I am very blessed to call you friends. THANK YOU from my heart! Your words to me mean so much more than you can ever know.

I am feeling much better. I am improving daily and I have not suffered from pain for almost a week now. Today has been one of the best days I have had in a long while. They are still unsure why I had the chronic pain in my back/stomach, and if it returns, then we start over with trying to find a diagnosis. I have been diagnosed with lung nodules, but some people live with those all their lives without complications. I have been suffering some lung issues the past week though but they think it may be med related as I am allergic to so much. If I continue to improve with each new day then I will return in six months for another CAT scan of my lungs. If nothing has changed then we will check my lungs yearly. I hope and pray I get good results with each visit.

I owe a thank you for gifts I received while I was sick. I can't thank you enough for your gifts and your snail mail cards (they really lifted my spirits)...I am sorry it has taken me so long to post and say thank you-I just did not have the energy to do so and was in a great deal of pain for so long.

From the lovely Staci, I received a wonderful bouquet of flowers in the form of a scissors fob-scissors included. I will cherish it always, Staci!

From sweet, sweet KarenV I received another bouquet of flowers in the form of a floss ring tag. I adore it, Karen. Thank you so very much!

From dear Harmien, I received some more flowers-also a floss tag ring-what better way to have flowers that last?? I love it, Harmien! Thank you!!

And from that ever so sweet Julianne, I received yet more flowers :) I am loving all these flowers. She finished this adorable piece into a key holder and it's just perfection! Thank you so much my friend :)

I can't thank you ladies enough for your generosity. I went through quite a bit the past few weeks and just knowing you care means much more to me than you can ever know. I will never forget your acts of friendship!

I also received a beautiful seasonal exchange from Amy-I just love it and it's finished so lovely. Beautiful work, Amy-thank you so much!

I also received some stashy gifts as well as some pampering gifts-I have sent thank you's to those friends and I LOVE them all!

I am slowly trying to get back into the things I love-my groups and stitching. I was able to stitch some the last few days and I finished Happy Home Sampler. Have any of the other stitcher's finished it? I will share some pics tomorrow of some of the things I stitched/finished before my health issues.

Again, I can't thank some of you enough for your kindness and thoughtfulness and even though I was unable to say it at the time-I LOVE you much!

Update

I have been poked and prodded and so many test in the past week and they still can not discover why I am hurting. I do not have a gall bladder or an appendix-had them out about 26 years ago. My lungs have bothered me the past few days as well and I am having some very bad days. Posting to let you all know I am NOT online nor am I reading email-if you are waiting on me for something-your patience is appreciated. It's hard to be like this as the world continues around me and I feel like doing nothing whatsoever. I will be away until I can get some relief from the pain and fatigue I am suffering.

Thank you for all the snail mail cards..they have brightened my days some as well as the lovely gifts I have received-stitching related and otherwise. You know who you are if you have sent gifts- I am so sorry not to be able to share them at this time. I hope you all will forgive me for that. I have not stitched in about 3 weeks now :( I just do not have the energy needed.

Thank you for your well wishes-I keep praying and hoping I feel better soon.
