Gasper Ghost ** Gasper flew off to Andrea's Home**

Too cute huh??? :) I love that Nan named him Gasper :) This one was SUPER quick and stitched up while watching TV this evening with hubby :) This one is going to live with one of my readers. If you would like a chance for Gasper to fly to your house-please leave a comment on this post only :) I'll choose a name in the next day or two :)
I just love the Vintage Pearled Barley for him-he looks so good on it and the backing fabric...TOO cute!!
He's a pretty cool ghost huh?? LOL!! I know not everyone is a Halloween lover like some of us...I wouldn't want him to go live with someone that wouldn't love him ;) ;)

Designer: Just Nan (from CrowJackers)
Fabric: 32ct. Vintage Pearled Barley
Fibers: DMC
Date Started: 9-29-2010
Date Finished: 9-29-2010

Yes, Judy... I have to do all the things many homemakers do...I am just very good with time management and routine :) Fortunately I am a stay at home wife. How I wish everyone that would like to be could do the same.. Thankfully my hubby allows me this luxury :) I worked for many years in the school system and now I get to stay at home and have my time :) Ask anyone who knows me. I do everything in a day that needs to be done. My home is clean, clothes washed, meals cooked, gardening done, errands ran-I even do other hobbies outside of cross stitch-it just happens to be my passion and EVERY free second I can devote to it I do. My children however are grown-though DD stills lives at home she takes care of herself :)

Another reader commented about me doing the finishing on a piece once the stitching is done...I am a believer that needlework is meant to be enjoyed-not put in a drawer somewhere so nobody can see or enjoy it. So I finish all my pieces off when I finish stitching them so that myself, my family or friends can enjoy them. YES, I let people touch and handle my stitching all the time :) That's what it is about to me :)

Thank you to those that leave such sweet comments and emails for me. I honestly appreciate and enjoy them so much more than you will know. Please come again :)
hugs and love from SC :)

Very pretty, Becky. I think it's adorable, but you don't need to include me in the drawing - I'm a huge collector if Christmas ornaments, but rarely do any Halloween stitching. By this time of year, I'm usually lamenting my lack of Christmas stitching. :(

Oh Becky, I would love to give Gasper a loving home! He looks so cute riding that black bird! I'm sure the bird would be no problem either! Give him some bird seed every day, how hard could it be! Gasper would be so welcomed. Thank you for entering my name too! Lyn in CO.

I would be thrilled to have Casper and his crow buddy to come live at my house. I have a big old victorian that he would have plenty of room and fun flying around in to be seen.
I am amazed at your quick stitching, the piece looks so involved with all of the colors.

Ha-ha-ha! Gasper is so amusing! I adore him! It makes everybody smile :)
I am loving Halloween. It and New Year are my favorites (in my country we celebrate New Year as you celebrate Christmas). I don't care about religious background I just enjoy their fairytale atmosphere.

Gasper is gorgeous, and finished beautifully.

Most of my stitching ends up in a drawer (which is a shame) since I'm not a great finisher, but I do hope to change that over time. I certainly feel inspired when I look at all your beautiful finishes.

Oh Becky....Gasper is super cute! I'd love to give him a new home :) I only work part time so it gives me a bit more time to stitch and it is my passion too and everyone who knows me knows that when I sit, I stitch. I hate sitting and not stitching it drives me crazy. My Mom is stay at home too and she is the exact same way, she sits, she stitches and she is totally devoted to it too :) I love how we can share our passions with others!

Gaspar is darling, Becky! I'd love to have the chance to make him part of my Halloween decorations. Thank you for offering the drawing.

You're inspiring me to go get some of my stitching out of the drawer and actually finish it. This weekend I think I'll tackle an ornament!

Gasper is adorable! I'd love to be included in the drawing.

Good for you on your time management skills. My DH is very supportive of my stitching hobby, too. He says he hates to see me just watching TV or sitting down w/o stitching in my hands. :)

Susan said...

How Cute! You've really got the time management thing down. I had more time when I was just a part time worker, but since I went full time in the past year I'm still trying to figure it all out. Hopefully, I'll get there soon. Thanks for sharing!

Amy said...

I think that's the cutest one yet! Love it!

Beth said...

Yes! He is another cutie! I know what you mean about time management. There are times when I seem to be able to get a ton of things done, and then there are other times when nothing seems to get done. I think it has to do with my concentration level and, admittedly motivation. (The motivation requirement comes in with the housework - LOL)

Margaret said...

Oh he's adorable! I'd so love a chance to win him too! I think I'm pretty good with time management too. Although I tend to ignore my housework more than I should. :D

Hi, Becky!

Long time lurker, daily admirer (even when you're justifiably MIA, I still oogle), and occasional commenter.

I love your creativity.. you always help me to look at objects in new ways to determine whether I could use it as a finishing technique. I'm still not good at finishing my little fuppies, but I dream big.

I'd love the chance to win Gasper!

Is that ghostie riding the blackbird???OMG, be still my heart, that is tooooo cute!!
Great job, as always Becky!

Isn't it funny that some folks can't understand how you get all that stitchin' done? A lot of people say to me (and I don't finish nearly as much as you do)...oh if I only had the time. Well, hello, we all have the same amount of hours in a day...it's just how you chose to spend them, right?
I'm so glad you spend your *spare* time stitching :)

Halloweeny designs are probably some of favourites (even though we are only just starting to celebrate it as a nation) - this is a design I don't have, so I would love to go into the draw if that's OK :D I'm just loving all your autumn/halloween finishes with pumpkins :D I've had a couple of small pumpkin finishes myself late, but I probably won't add them to the group album until I've finish-finished them :)
