Bluebird of Happiness ????

This one is just too adorable. I stitched the KIT many years ago-the kit used a large count fabric and the design was MUCH larger. I chose to stitch it this time on 32ct. and it turned out so cute. Comparing it to my wall hanging of the one I stitched years ago-it looks like my wall hanging had a "baby" LOL!
I finished it off on a round box. I added some lace and ribbon and a pearl button.
This is #95 towards my GOAL :)

Design: Bluebird Zipper (though I call it the bluebird of happiness...you just have to smile when you look at it!!!)
Designer: Bent Creek
Fabric: 32ct. Natural
Fibers: DMC
Date Started: 10-14-2010
Date Finished: 10-14-2010

Thank you so much for visiting :) Please do come again :)
hugs and love from SC :)

He is one happy looking fellow. That's a very cool finish with that plaid ribbon.

Another beauty. I love how that gingham checked ribbon picks up the darker checks in the grass the blue-bird is standing upon.. Becky can I come live with you? LOL LOL

I see everyone going to all of these Cross Stitching weekend retreats and I think I would learn more and have more fun with you!!!

I still refer to you as my Stitching Godmother, even though were about the same age, for encouraging me to stitch on linen a few years back!!

Hugs

OHMIGOSH!!! I absolutely love bluebirds. We had a momma build a nest in our gas grill last year so we bought a cheap charcoal grill to use so we wouldn't disturb her and her babies. I watched them grow old enough to fly away. It was precious.
Thanks for bringing back such a sweet memory!

Becky, this has to be one of the cutest things ever. You have such an eye for finishing. Beautiful work as always. I was reading your sidebar and wanted to comment that it is obvious where you spend your free time. I need to learn by example and stay off the computer and facebook and playing online games and I may get some stitching done. Keep stitching and sharing. It is always such a joy to see a post from you.

WOW - my daughter showed me your blog yesterday & I can't stop checking it out! In the past few years I've done more quilting than cross-stitching, but your site is so inspiring & makes me want to get back to it!

Thank you for sharing!
