A heartfelt thank you

to those that have left comments and sent emails about reaching my goal :) You have shared stories with me about your loved ones and how so many of us have been touched by cancer. PLEASE know that I dedicate my finishes for Relay for Life to ALL of you and your loved ones as well :) I am praying for those that have asked for prayer and sending good thoughts and love to you all. It's a small world sometimes and this is one of those times :) Thanks for being here!!

From now until early December I will be HAPPILY stitching smalls to send away as Christmas gifts. This one will be sent off to someone :) I have stitched this now 4 times and it is STILL a FUN stitch and I am sure I will stitch it again :) !!
Sometimes it's hard to know if someone will like what you send them or if they have stitched or received the designs before...I have received the same items that I have stitched or received in exchanges several times myself-but I STILL love them all :) They are all still unique to myself or the sender :) SO I am hoping all my gifts will be well received.
I stitched this up last night while watching TV with hubby and wasn't sure how I wanted to finish it off. While *trying* to go to sleep after laying there for what seemed like hours I knew I wanted to finish it on a box top...BOY was it hard to get to sleep after that as I wanted to get up and do the finishing (you all know I enjoy the finishing as much as the stitching !!!) -but I knew I could not get the box painted until this morning-so I rolled over and finally fell asleep :) :)
I painted a paper mache box black and mounted the design on it. I added some red/black gingham ribbon to match the red and black in the bird and added a button for some character :)

One more beautiful finish!
You should be very proud of yourself for having achieved your goal...plus some more. I am sure it was not always easy, but the courage with which you faced your enterprise gives motivation to many (I include myself in this number). The sad side is you having being touched so closely with this disease. I know what is having a disease running in the family. On my mum's side heart always brings problems and I was about to be the first victim of my generation. As to my mum, I took her to hospital as she wasn't feeling well and one hour later I was called because she had passed away... sorry for all this rambling, but yesterday I was too touched by your post. And I know next year you will meet your goal again and I, as a follower, will be witnessing it all the way.

Oh Becky, thank you for sharing another darling finish. The box is fabulous!
You know I would always love something that is made especially for me. If it is handmade there can never be two exactly the same therefore each is special. Each is unique.

This is just wonderful, Becky! I love seeing what you've made -- it's always spectacular!

Another beautiful finish Becky. I totally know what you mean. My DH is out of town for a few days so I am taking this time to finish some items I have stitched these past months.

Last night I made a flanged pillow, only my secod time. I love that type of pillow and the night before last I made a small pin pillow for a giveaway. There is somethng very soothing about the sound of a sewing machine :)

Take Care friend and Stitch On!! :)

Love this latest finish - very cute indeed! I will always appreciate anything someone sends me that is handmade - even if the same design, there are always slight differences. Where ever this lands, I'm sure the person will be happy!

Hi Becky, another lovely finish, this design is just great, and I too have stitched this on an exchange piece for a partner and it was fun to stitch.
I love how your mind works, such creative finishes and how a button used as a feature just pops, I had never thought of that before, threading the ribbon through and tying.
I hope you have fun with all your Christmas stitching this year, I cant wait to see each and every piece you make as I am sure they will all be stunning.
Hugs

What a great finish - you are very creative.

Again, what a great accomplishment you have achieved all for the better good.

As a side note, just lost a dear friend on Sunday to Cancer, which was discovered too late - the blessing is she went very quickly and painlessly.
