THANK you though for the many email I had about getting a link to the items and the support you offered :)...I'm sorry-I hope you are not too disappointed :)
I found these CUTE as can BEE small bowls for a STEAL. They are plastic but I knew immediately I wanted to turn them into cupcake type pincushions. Isn't it just sweet??? I chose this design because of the colors and the flower that matches the one on the bowl :) I have 3 more bowls :) WOOHOO!! I can share :):)

Robin..the start date and finish date reflects the dates the piece was stitched :)
I also most always do the finishing on a piece as soon as I am finished with the stitching :)
Enjoy the weekend everyone :)
Thank you so much for visiting with me :) Please do come again :) I just adore you all!
hugs and love from SC :)

Hi Becky!
You do the most creative finishing! I love the pin cushions! I had to laugh at myself when I originally thought that you stitched and finished these in one day! LOL!! I see now that the "start and finish" dates are just for the finishing :) You were beginning to make me feel bad about my abilities as a stitcher;)
Another very cute finish - you are right, the bowl is darling.
I also understand your decision about selling your creations. Some people have asked me if I did, and I just think that takes the enjoyable "hobby" and makes it into a "job". Not what I intended this to be.
That snowman pillow is so cute - can you tell me who the pattern is by? I have never made anything into anything but a stitched piece, I just don't know how. But I love looking at the items you finish and hope someday I can figure out how to be more creative:)
what a wonderful finish! Love the whole idea of using the bowl as a pincushion! So much fun! I understand your decision not to sell things. You need to do what's comfortable for you!
Oh Thank Goodness!!! I can stop looking under couch cushions for more change to add to my piggy bank so I could try and buy EVERYTHING you were going to sell!!
HUGS TO YOU!!!
-missy-
Another very beautiful finish =)
Hi Becky,
I have about 8 or 9 of those exact same bowls!!! LOL I got mine in the mail for FREE when I belonged to a book club.
What a cute idea I may have to borrow. :))
I like the way you think outside the box!

You never cease to amaze me with your finishing talents and the speed you stitch. This is another beauty and how creative you are to repurpose those bowls!
I had emailed you yesterday about buying the Bluebird box from you but I completely understand your decision.
Keep Stitching and sharing and inspiring!

#97 Becky? YGG! You are almost there. All the ladies in our office have been watching your number rise daily. They are going to love you and be so proud of you. I also heard that they wanted you to put your home on the Christmas Tour again? Are you going to do it?

Becky,
Another great finish! I completely understand your decision and am just so glad that you enjoy sharing all your wonderful creations with us! Have a wonderful weekend! Meredith
Becky I totally get where you're coming from re: sale/no sale. I have some very kind friends encourage me to enter my stitching in the fair this year, but in the end couldn't--it's too personal and the opinions that matter most to me are those of the people I stitch with. And it's far more fun to give something away--just because! A treat for the receiver, a blessing for the giver!
I love strolling through your finishes---unending inspiration.
I used to sell cross stitch and painted items, but am not so sure that I could do it again, so I completely understand. Thanks for sharing and for (with a really odd paraphrase) to thine own self being true!
You're right -that pattern is perfect with the bowls. You do have an eye for these things!
So precious, BEE!!! love and big hugs, scoob
What an adorable finish! Who would have thought of using a bowl? oh, Becky would! LOL TOO CUTE!!
You have great ideas! Love your creative finishing!
Hugs,
Another adorable finish! I love that the flower matches the bowl, it's perfect! I really like this type of finish. I may have to try my hand at it one day!
You must be getting very close to your goal. I imagine that's a great feeling!
I totally understand. Your pieces are just wonderful. I look forward to seeing your pieces....
Even this one is wonderful! I do not know how you come up with them.
Becky, What cute little bowls! I understand about your feelings in selling your beautiful work. You are such a giving person. I am sure you reap more joy from that than you would in selling your things. Thanks for sharing your work with us. I am always inspired by your finishing!!
Oh Becky...you're such a sweetie! As the recipient of one of your lovely presents, I think of you every time I look at it! That is a lot of love coming your way from all the treasures you've given...just seems like it wouldn't be the same if you sold them? You certainly stitch fast enough for that kind of thing though...anyway, you gotta go with your heart...either way we'll all still love ya!
xoxo
Another gorgeous finish. Love the colours.
Adorable finish
Becky, you are very generous to want to give your beautiful stitching away without any expected return. Another gorgeous finish, happy stitching to you.
Another adorable finish! You really do some awesome work. And your finishing ideas are fabulous.
I love all the different ways you finish your "stitchies"...you have really inspired me. This weekend (well today anyway) will be devoted to finishes...I can't wait, I have all my fun supplies ready :)
Smiles, DianeM
You are such an inspiration Becky! I would never have thought of using bowls like this to make pincushions :) I'm going to be on the look out for things like this now! It is so sweet :)
i totally understand and appreciate your decision NOT to sell you wonderful works.
The pleasure of giving them to some people that adore this sort of things like you is uncomparable.
I come and visit your blog every day since a while and i love it every day more and more.

I totally understand how you feel about selling your stitches. I have a friend who recently asked me to stitch a piece for her and she will pay me for it. I've been discussing it with my DH and I feel so badly about charging her that I haven't even started the piece yet! She's been insisting and I've been putting off telling her how I feel. I just can't take the money from her.
Those are such cute bowls and they've made the perfect finish! Your creativity is a joy to see. It's one of the many reasons I return to your blog again and again. I'm hoping some of it will rub off on me!
How adorable is this cupcake pincushion!I love it!
Hugs,
Michelle
What an adorable finish!! Love the idea of using the bowl:)

Love what you did - I was at a flea market this morning and picked up some little china baskets, which I hope to do the same as you did.
Very cute pincushion, Becky, and what a novel idea for finishing!
The flower on the bowl with the flower are the pincushion are just adorable. You have such a talent for finding the perfect things to make your finishes!
I have often thought if I had more time to stitch (or could stitch faster I would stitch and sell things for charity...like the local animal shelter. But I'm with you, selling my stitching for outright profit feels wrong somehow!
Oh how pretty! This finish is one of my favorites so far. I would love to be able to do something like this. Maybe one day you could do a tutorial on how to put one together. Thanks for the lovely pics.

What a great way to finish with cute plastic bowls! Just imagine the bowls you can find for the holidays!
What a neat idea for finishing.
I don't blame you a bit, Becky. I've never sold any of my cross stitch either. I have sold other things I've painted or sewn, but I just can't sell my cross stitch. I do give it to family and friends, just like you.
I just love your idea of using the bowl for the pincushion! I would have never, ever thought of doing that in a million years. You are SO clever!
Thanks for sharing!
God bless you - Julie
I can understand how you feel about not selling your stitched pieces.I too cannot do it.I cannot sell other crafts I make too even from other things not related to cross stitch.I feel they are my children of my imagination and creativity.I don't know if things get worse financially speaking and I decide to sell after all but it will be the end of the world for me,I think.Still I admire people who make a living from their hobby.Ariadne from Greece!
