I decided on a VERY simple "tray" finish for Mr. Leggy :) No frills :) (just a light stain to the tray) Just a simple tray finishing :) I love the way he looks finished in the tray :)

Yes, I buy the trays unfinished and stain them myself.
I purchased these trays at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels-but it has been a couple of years ago :) And I honestly can't remember which one-I know that when I find something I like I usually buy a few of them just in case I can't find them again-this is the case with the trays-I have 2 more of a different size.

Who knew????

Who knew snowmen actually had legs??? And VERY long/skinny legs at that :)Must be hard on their knees... LOL! I stitched up this cute little fellow today! He was such a quick and fun little stitch :) I am undecided about a finish for him :) Will share him again once I decide and have done the finishing :)

Hubby started vacation today. I have really enjoyed my stitching lately...I don't think we miss it and maybe we even take it for granted until we can't stitch for awhile-then we realize just what it means to us :) I am TRULY passionate about the art of Cross Stitch and when I am not stitching I am not as happy as when I am :) :) :) I guess lately I have been making up for lost time :) :) :) Today I stitched and finished another pin pillow-this one is finished a little different :)

Many people have asked how I accomplish so much...yes, I am a fast stitcher-I DO NOT have magic needles or little elves helping me out and YES I do sleep :)....however, I NEVER sit idle :) I do everything in a day that needs to be done as far as home and family go-but there is no idle time in there-if I am sitting down-I am stitching :) You really would be surprised at how much stitching you can accomplish between other things :)

Scissors Pocket :)

This is my first gift to Ellen S whom I have adopted for the rest of the 2010 year :) I was happy that Ellen's name was drawn to be adopted. I have known Ellen for a few years now-though she did not blog (at the time), she read my blog and emailed me one day and we became friends :) I look forward to sending her goodies throughout the year :) Some will be stitched some will not :)

BeckySC-who has not stitched in 5 days...WOW!! That is about to change :) NO it will NOT be one of the magazine designs I posted :) Still in a SMALLS mood :) And want to stitch something for one of my readers :) That's what makes me happiest anyway :)

Gifts in today's mail :)

A friend asked me why I said NO GIFTS PLEASE.... The reason for this is that I would LOVE to be able to send all my stitching friends gifts for their special days....but let's be realistic-my list of friends is so many that I honestly could never meet that goal-time wise or financially :) Instead I send AOK's/RAK's, "Just Because" gifts throughout the year to friends :) Even though I asked for no gifts...it was a special treat to come home from my birthday lunch with friends and family (BTW-we had the BEST time!!) to find special boxes waiting for me :) Thank you so much-I hope that you KNOW how truly grateful I am to you for your thoughtfulness :) :) So, you want to know what was inside those boxes??? :)

So I can THANK YOU personally. In today's mail I received a $50.00 Gift Certificate from my LNS for my birthday from a "friend". I don't know what to say-how VERY generous of you friend :) PLEASE do tell me who you are (if you want to keep it private-Please still let me know in an email who you are-I totally understand) so I can thank you :) WOW!!! I WILL be saving this until Market goodies are here :) I am so excited and feel so blessed :) And if you decide to stay a mystery....PLEASE know I am most grateful and touched by your kindness and generosity. No stitching for the past two days as DD's BF came in from San Diego last night :) He is spending a month with us. The next few days will be busy with B-day celebrations as my birthday is tomorrow and DD's is Friday :) We have special plans-HOWEVER, I HOPE to at least pick out a new project to start soon :)

Signs of Spring...

I wish it were Spring :) But the signs of Spring I am speaking of is this CUTIE that I stitched up today :) It's from one of the new PS'ers that I ordered from Amy last week :) It is so cute and was such a FUN stitch :) It just makes me smile :) I finished it off as a pillow (I have a thing for pin pillows and pillows-as I can display them so easily in baskets and bowls and boxes and even just sit them around with my other decor-I have them everywhere and they are one of my most favorite finishes :))and I couldn't be happier with it :) TOO cute :)

Sampling Easter :) And Happy Bunny Bunny Day Finish

I decided on Sampling Easter as my next project -I started it last night and finished it up today :) I am going to put my Easter decorations out on Monday and I am in the "bunny" and Easter stitching mood :) This has the CUTEST little rabbit charm :) I don't stitch an awful lot of LK designs...but this was a fun, quick, colorful stitch :) Perfect for my Easter table :)

Blu-YES, it's a bunny I purchased recently at Hobby Lobby-he has been keeping my stitching company in some of my pics until I put all my Easter displays out :)

Someone asked, and I can't remember who right off (sorry about that)...what I do with my stitched charts? Well-that depends-If it is something I KNOW I will NEVER stitch again I usually offer it up for someone that would like to have it- Lately though I don't get rid of as many charts as I used to because I stitch them again for gifts and exchanges :)

Happy Bunny Bunny Day :)

Well-we ended up with 4.5 -5 inches of snow-it was gorgeous to look at-BUT, I am so glad it is quickly and steadily melting today :) I stayed inside with Happy Bunny Bunny Day and finished up the stitching on him-TOO cute :) He was fun to stitch :) I haven't done the finishing as I am not sure I have the fabric I want to use with it in my finishing fabric stash :) I'll share a pic when I do the actual finishing :)
