Winners of Giveaways and 1997 PS Fairie :)

Hello friends...I hope you all have had a lovely weekend and those in the US have had a lovely long weekend and Memorial Day. We stayed quite busy with Memorial Day activities...today though plans with friends were cancelled due to our flooding rains. With hubby and my BIL and SIL all military or former military today is special and is observed in our family. Please take a minute to remember all those that have given their lives for our freedom as well as those that continue to serve so we may have that freedom.

I stitched the 1997 PS Fairie over the long weekend. Still deciding on a finish for her :)

Wow, Becky, what a great giveaway!
Right now I have three WIPs:
The Nancy Cartmel 1810 sampler bag I started on January 1st. I'm struggling with it because I really want to move on to some other things that are calling my name but I really want to see it finished too!
A box top from a Jeannette Douglas/Pam Reed class our guild hosted.
Last but certainly not least is the scissors holder I'm doing for the exchange you are hosting. I can't tell you what it is because my partner might be reading. ;o)
I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Hugs,

You were missed! I did not email you because I knew you had a good reason for taking a blogging break. You are in my thoughts.
Yes, please enter me in the drawing! Anything made by you is a treasure!

Please send me your mailing information ladies :) Also, please be advised that I only go to the PO twice a month. It may be 2 weeks before I am able to mail out your winnings-but you WILL receive them. Thanks to all that entered-I always wish I could give everyone something. I am making a change to the way I do giveaways-You will not need to do anything to be included in any giveaway I have on my blog-I have wrote down and cut up the list of names that visit my blog and they will all remain in the bowl that I can draw from each time so that I will not have to cut up and print out names each time :) If you are new to my blog and want to be included in a giveaway when I post one-all you need to do is email me and I will add your name to the bowl. When I draw a name I will ask you to contact me to see if you wish to collect the giveaway I am offering-if not, I will draw another name-but your name will always remain in the bowl for any future giveaways and you do not have to do anything to be included.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I just have not been spending any time online. I have been stitching when I can and doing other activities that do not involve online time. I MISS you all a great deal and I do hope I can find the desire to get back into a regular blog visiting routine-My unread feeds in google reader are MANY!!!!-I took the time today to delete all the blogs that are never updated or that I never read anymore for whatever reasons from my google reader...maybe this will help me to not feel so overwhelmed and behind. I feel badly that I haven't visited your blogs and you continue to visit mine. I can't thank you enough for that though and I DO SO appreciate it. Thanks to those that have emailed me-I SO enjoy hearing from you all...though lately I have been very slow to respond to emails due to circumstances in our family and limited online time-please know I TRULY do enjoy receiving your personal email. I seem to be having some email issues though and I am not sure if some of my replies have gotten through. I know that Amy and I are having a terrible time communicating VIA email. If you have emailed with anything that requires a reply and I have not responded, chances are I am not receiving-or my replies are not going through to you-please try again :)

Have a great week!

Bunny Button Sampler and an exchange received

This was such a joy to stitch. I just love the way it turned out and the colors are just awesome and of course the design is adorable! I substituted wooden buttons in the corners. It called for the brass bunnies, but I really didn't want to use them.

It's beautifully stitched and finished and will be cherished always :) Thank you so much Marie-we are going through so much here and I have been so preoccupied with all that is going on that I forgot I would be receiving something and it REALLY did make today a better day :) Thank you again my friend, it's simply GORGEOUS!

Thank you friends and readers for visiting with me. I appreciate it so very much. My apologies for not getting by your blogs yet...I hope to do so soon-I just have not been spending any time online-I have devoted all my free time to stitching and cleaning-two things I do MUCH of when stressed.

SOOOOOOO Pretty !!!

Today I stitched my first design by Danybrod. It will NOT be my last. A few months back I ordered several designs from her (they are e-file and easy to order) and I have been waiting to stitch one of them :) I just ADORE how this turned out and it was indeed a JOY to stitch and finish :) I finished mine off as a pin pillow.

Gardener's Pocket

We had rain for much of the day and after returning from a visit with our son (and searching for an escaped billy goat...which was NOT found) I started stitching Gardener's Pocket by Country Stitches. I didn't have any dried flowers to add for the photo, but every year I do cut flowers from my garden to dry-they will have a new home in this cute pocket :)

Thank you

You are ALL SO special :)

It's time for another Giveaway !! I stitched this cutie tonight and finished it as a tin. I would love to offer it up to one of my readers :) If you would like a chance to win this tin, please leave a comment on THIS POST ONLY and I will draw a name in the next few days. It has a magnet for needles and a padded bottom from red/checked gingham and I added a gingham bow on the outside. It's just too adorable :) I opted NOT to stitch the flower hanging from the bunny's mouth as I just did not like it.

Thank you so very much for your visits. I do hope I can return them soon. I am trying to get back into the habit of visiting blogs-please do not be offended if I haven't visited you-it's nothing you have done-I just haven't felt very sociable. I'll get there :)

My stitching keeps me sane...

I do not want to go into any details but we have been having one thing after another happen within our family and for someone that stresses...believe me my stress factor is OFF the scale right now !!! SO, that's why I was going to take a blogging break-but I have had more email in the past day and a half than I can possibly answer about continuing to blog about my stitching (thanks to everyone that emailed) so here I am. I have found that when I go night after night with very little sleep, that I do better when I stitch and pray-stitching keeps my hands occupied and prayer and stitching keep my mind occupied....so I have really been turning out the finishes the last few days. For those that *THINK* I stitch or share too much-just don't open or follow my blog and you don't have to look at my finishes.
I started this cutie this morning. It went pretty fast-the finishing took the longest as it is so small but how adorable !!!

Thank you friends for your support and all your wonderfully sweet email and comments. I do so appreciate them more than you know-even though I may not be as chatty and email back as quickly-I STILL appreciate each of you.

Happy Birthday friend :)

I Stitched this for one of my dearest online friends, Julianne who has a birthday this week. This design is so fitting for the friendship we share. The verse is just perfect. Julianne and I have a kindred friendship. Our friendship is unconditional...that's hard to find in this day and time-people seem to be so shallow, so self centered. People hold so many things against each other and I find at times they regress to acting as a child would in a playground spat. They keep score... Unable to say I am sorry-or even admit when they are wrong of have done something hurtful or even accept an apology when one is offered. I usually move on from those people, which saddens me as I have room in my heart and life for everyone... :( Julianne is nothing like that-we can be as honest as honest gets with each other and I love that about our friendship-it is a true friendship-not one of convenience and NOT one-sided. I have NEVER felt taken for granted or used in our friendship. I love her as I do my own family. Happy Birthday my dear friend-I wish your special day to be filled with all the things you so richly deserve and enjoy :)
