Another step towards the BIG celebration :)

I have finished the last square on HoHRH . Initially I found it difficult to stitch this square after we received some bad news-it felt wrong to be stitching this verse when someone I love has received bad health news....but I worked it out and got it done :)
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO close to the BIG CELEBRATION. I have to go back and fill in house 6 and 9 with black-I left these as when I was working on them we had 3 family members in the hospital and as the black would be mindless stitching-it would be good for hospital visits....but in the end I did not take this project on visits so now I have to go back and fill in those two squares and add the date in the first square and then it will be FINISHED :) I can't wait!! Hopefully when it is completed I can get a TRUE picture of the fabric as it seems the fabric shows up differently in every shot I take :)

Blessed :)

Many years ago, God blessed me with a DEAR friend. Her name is Julianne and she is so very special to me even though we have never met face to face. Words honestly cannot describe the friendship we have-if YOU have a true friendship then you know what I am trying to convey :) Today a package arrived in my mailbox from my dear friend Julianne and I am speechless!! Look at this gorgeous finish! I feel so blessed that Julianne stitched this for me and I will think of her each and every time I see this beauty! :) She writes that I should overlook the flaws...I see NO flaws :) It is just so perfect and so me! I can't thank you enough my friend! You know I love you-thank you for ALWAYS being there, unconditionally :) :)
My pictures DO NOT do this piece justice.

Thank you for your prayers, emails, words, thoughts for my mom. She is really going to need them all and I hope you will continue to remember her in your prayers. I am a TRUE believer of prayer and positive thinking so I know with God's love, our faith and all you prayer warriors we will get through this scare.

I had an issue after our news yesterday about stitching the last square on HoHRH as the verse is morbid and for awhile I let it bother me...but after chatting with my mom, friends and a nights sleep I pulled it back out today and have over half the verse stitched. Funny how things can affect you, huh??

Thank you for visiting today. Please do come again!
Have a lovely weekend and a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween :)

Sweet friends...

Two of my sweet friends have spoiled me with gifts and honestly they could not have come at a better time. We received some bad news today and I really needed the pick me up. Edgar's gift arrived last week but with feeling poorly I didn't get to post it. But BEE assured it doesn't mean I don't love it :) Andrea's arrived today and I just LOVE them both! Thank you so much dear friends! I hope you both know how special you are.
From Edgar, this BEEutiful Bee skep :):)

And from Andrea, this gorgeous stocking for my Halloween tree:)

I would like to ask that you keep my mom in your prayers please-she really needs them. My posting may be hit and miss for awhile..
Thank you so much for visiting.

House 11 and under the weather....

I finished house 11 of HoHRH :) This seem to take FOREVER...but I have been feeling quite poorly since the weekend and stitching was sporadic at best. My plan is to continue with this piece until it is finished-BUT that is subject to change. I am WAY behind in blog reading-hopefully will catch up when I am feeling better.

Leaping Reindeer

Can you say HARD on the eyes??? WOW! BOY, my eyes are not what they used to be...even with my glasses!!! I thought at first I may not be able to stitch this after getting started on the first few stitches. This one was a challenge to my eyes! I am so glad I don't have to stitch on dark colors all the time :) It may have been a challenge, but I love the way it finished up-it was definitely worth the eye strain and a few words I may have muttered under my breath!!!. I decided on a pillow finish and I had these crystal snowflakes for some time now that I have wanted to use so I substituted them for the stitched snowflakes. Some ribbon and a button for some character :) This is another Christmas gift that will go out :)

A heartfelt thank you

to those that have left comments and sent emails about reaching my goal :) You have shared stories with me about your loved ones and how so many of us have been touched by cancer. PLEASE know that I dedicate my finishes for Relay for Life to ALL of you and your loved ones as well :) I am praying for those that have asked for prayer and sending good thoughts and love to you all. It's a small world sometimes and this is one of those times :) Thanks for being here!!

From now until early December I will be HAPPILY stitching smalls to send away as Christmas gifts. This one will be sent off to someone :) I have stitched this now 4 times and it is STILL a FUN stitch and I am sure I will stitch it again :) !!
Sometimes it's hard to know if someone will like what you send them or if they have stitched or received the designs before...I have received the same items that I have stitched or received in exchanges several times myself-but I STILL love them all :) They are all still unique to myself or the sender :) SO I am hoping all my gifts will be well received.
I stitched this up last night while watching TV with hubby and wasn't sure how I wanted to finish it off. While *trying* to go to sleep after laying there for what seemed like hours I knew I wanted to finish it on a box top...BOY was it hard to get to sleep after that as I wanted to get up and do the finishing (you all know I enjoy the finishing as much as the stitching !!!) -but I knew I could not get the box painted until this morning-so I rolled over and finally fell asleep :) :)
I painted a paper mache box black and mounted the design on it. I added some red/black gingham ribbon to match the red and black in the bird and added a button for some character :)

Thank you dear readers for all your support-I wish I could convey how much it means to me. I am one that has never been afraid or shy about showing feelings and emotions- I have found some TRUE friends in some of you and feel so blessed :) I hope you know how much you mean to me!!

# 100

I met my goal :) No doubt I will exceed it as I still have a couple of months left in the year to stitch...but my GOAL was to at least meet the the pledge I made ! :) This cause means so much to me as so many people in my life have been touched by cancer. My goal is met in honor of the survivors, those still battling cancer and in memory of those we have lost. I am truly proud to have accomplished the set Goal and I can't thank my sponsors enough-OR those of you that have sent so many emails of encouragement and left comments to keep me stitching towards my goal! And a special thank you goes out to Andrea...I almost quit sharing my finishes-but your comment and email made all the difference in the world!! THANK YOU Andrea and THANK YOU ALL!
I found out next year they are doing a different challenge (everyone is donating their pocket change for the year-so I will be doing that one)
I dyed some fabric and used DMC 115-it looks so good-I was so pleased with the dye job-You can't really tell in the first pic-but the other two show it pretty well. I wish I had dyed some more while I had that mixture together :). I finished it off on one of the cutting boards hubby cut out for me. I am extremely happy with it :)
This is a Christmas gift for someone that reads my blog. I hope she will like it!

OOOOH, be sure to stop by tomorrow sometime...

I just pulled a design to stitch for a GIVEAWAY!! It's something I have stitched before by one of the LOVELY French designers...HOWEVER I will be changing the colors and using DMC 115 in parts of the design for all the RED lovers out there :)
Just keeping you in suspense while I stitch :):) :) I am pretty sure I can get it stitched and finished by tomorrow afternoon-SO check back :)

Love you all!!

OK...so I am a chicken!!!

Friends...I just can't do it. I just keep thinking about it and while stitching this piece I decided I cannot sell my stitching-it just feels wrong to me to sell it (please know this does not reflect on anyone that does sell their stitching :) it's just a me thing I guess and I can't do it). I would MUCH rather just give things away to people I love-MANY of you are those people. I use comments sometimes when I feel someone really likes something by the comment they made-I may just send it to them-I have done that many times. Giving just feels right to me SOOOOOOOO, I just plan to keep stitching and offering giveaways and sending RAKS and gifts to my readers :)
THANK you though for the many email I had about getting a link to the items and the support you offered :)...I'm sorry-I hope you are not too disappointed :)

I found these CUTE as can BEE small bowls for a STEAL. They are plastic but I knew immediately I wanted to turn them into cupcake type pincushions. Isn't it just sweet??? I chose this design because of the colors and the flower that matches the one on the bowl :) I have 3 more bowls :) WOOHOO!! I can share :):)

Warm Hearts

I stitched this kit a few years back, had it framed and gave it away as a Christmas gift to my Aunt. I had two kits-I gave the chart away from the first kit and almost gave the extra kit away-but decided to hold onto it and maybe stitch it for an exchange or again for myself. I am so happy I kept it! I started it last night with the temps a little cooler-it felt like the perfect choice :)-HOWEVER they would melt quickly today as it's WARM out :)!!! They are just adorable. I finished them off into a pillow. I used a homespun fabric for finishing and added a gingham ribbon in dark red/black to match the snowman's leggings :) ADORABLE!!

For about a year now I have had several friends and a couple of ladies I didn't know at the time asking me to consider selling some of my cross stitch finishes. I mulled it over a time or two and even came close to doing so about 6 months ago but changed my mind. I sat down with hubby last night and discussed it after receiving several email this week from people asking me if certain items were for sale. I am considering putting some things up for sale-if you would be interested in a link to the items when I have them ready, please email me personally and I will let you know where to find them :) My email can be found in the sidebar. It will be a few days before I have items listed-however I can tell you this pillow will be one of the items.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today :) I hope you enjoyed it. Please do come again :)
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Bluebird of Happiness ????

This one is just too adorable. I stitched the KIT many years ago-the kit used a large count fabric and the design was MUCH larger. I chose to stitch it this time on 32ct. and it turned out so cute. Comparing it to my wall hanging of the one I stitched years ago-it looks like my wall hanging had a "baby" LOL!
I finished it off on a round box. I added some lace and ribbon and a pearl button.
This is #95 towards my GOAL :)

Bitty Bird Sampler

Isn't this just TOO cute?? I finished it on one of the cutting boards that hubby cut out for me last week. I am just thrilled with the result :) This one will be flying away to a new home soon :) I sure hope the recipient likes it as much as I do :) :) :) I WILL be stitching this one again..probably more than once :)
I substituted DMC Variations for the border and alphabet in place of the called for color :) I LOVE how it looks!
