Thank you for stopping by dear friends and readers :) I had a couple of email today asking if it were OK to email me during my time away for the holidays. ABSOLUTELY if you like. I may not read them daily but promise to read them as I can. I will still be around some...just not back into the swing of regular blogging/reading until after the holidays. We stay really busy this time of year AND we are having guests from December 13th -January 5th at our home:) So my computer time will be extremely limited-but I surely welcome your visits and email at any time :)

Enjoying life :)

I know many of you have emailed me in the past week checking on me...I appreciate it so very much-you're so sweet to do so :) We are still on vacation time here and ENJOYING it so very much-because of vacation I am not online/blogging/reading...this is the first thing I have stitched while hubby has been off-we have honestly been so busy (but enjoying every minute of being busy) that I have not had time or energy to stitch. I am so exhausted by the end of our day everyday that I go to bed much earlier than I normally do. We had a wonderful get together on Friday night with family and friends...it was a pre-holiday party...warming up for my dinner party in December :) Such great fellowship. I have been BLESSED with good health news as well and we are celebrating that daily!! Last night I found time to start this one while we watched a movie and I finished it up today :)I just love how it turned out :) And what a FUN, FUN stitch and finish! I will definitely be stitching this one again for myself!!

Quakers and Quilts

I finished Quakers and Quilts and I am just so happy with this piece. For those that are procrastinating stitching the quilt blocks or decided against it...please rethink it as they just make the whole piece. I have had so many compliments on it this week. It is so gorgeous -these pics cannot do it justice at all-this is one gorgeous piece IRL!!! I am SO happy I decided to stitch the entire design as I was "dreading" the quilt blocks. The only thing I changed is the 3rd quilt block. It is suppose to have b/s in the points of the star and I stitched it into one point and liked it SO much better without-so I omitted the b/s there only :)
I DO plan to frame this one myself :)

Happy Weekend Friends :)

Pincushion needed... I wanted a special pincushion to put beside my stitchy chair...I have had this BBD Moda fabric for quite some time and have been wanting to put it to use. Today I decided to make a pincushion using the fabric. I just LOVE how this turned out and I have enough fabric and wooden base to make one more :)

I was gifted by sweet Brenda with one of her MOST gorgeous punch needle pillows. I just love it and it will be a Beeutiful addition to my holiday decorating :) Brenda you did a gorgeous job on it. The finishing is absolutely wonderful and the fabric you used just goes so well with the design and colors in the design!! And she sent me the sweetest needle minder as well :) Thank you again dear Brenda :) I am so happy to call you friend :)

I am still stitching on Quakers and Quilts and loving it :) I will post a progress pic next week :)

Thank you ever so much for your visits :) Please do come by again :)

Making a difference...

WOW, I wasn't going to post this one again for awhile-as I know how boring progress pics can get...but I just had to show you what a difference the back stitching is making on the quilt squares. I am REALLY pleased with how they look now and have enjoyed stitching on this today. I am going to stay with it awhile longer :)

Quakers and Quilts progress

I worked on Quakers and Quilts a bit today :) I just love the fibers used in this one and the colors are amazing....although I found the Quaker part a LOT more enjoyable to stitch than the quilt blocks-that's why this one is not complete yet :) BUT as we are suppose to enjoy our stitching...it will get done when it gets done :)
You can see my previous progress here :)

Break open the Champagne....

But you will have to drink alone as I don't drink :) :) :) But have some for me in celebration :)
I have finished Houses of Hawk Run Hollow :) WHOOOOOOPEE!! I spent the last 1.5 hours framing it. I went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a frame today @ 50% off and I just LOVE the way it looks in the frame. I finished it up this afternoon but had to block it and get it ready for framing. It cost me a total of 18.71 to frame it. I am thrilled to be finished with it and I am thrilled with the outcome :) I couldn't wait to get a pic as I am so excited-it's dark here and I had to take the pic under artificial light-but I think you can see how it looks :) I'll take a better pic soon :)
