I have been clearing out and purging from my stitching room since before Christmas. I have sold and given away over 300 cross stitch charts/kits and I am still purging. I have accumulated a vast amount of cross stitch items over the years and I still have more to stitch than I could possibly get to in 5 lifetimes. To be honest it is a bit overwhelming at the amount of stash I have acquired. These are just some of the charts I have pulled from my two 5 drawer file cabinets that I
REALLY want to make an effort to stitch. Someone asked if I were making room for more stash...NO-I am clearing out and downsizing my stash. I used to think that I had to have everything that came out -but as I get older I realize that I no longer want or need many of the things I thought I could not live without. I will be very selective in future stash purchases-not that I need anymore as there is still more in the two 5 drawer file cabinets than I have pictured in this post-but we all know there are so many wonderful designers out there that keep designing things we just can't do without :). So my LIFETIME goal is to stitch as many of these designs as I can :)
PLEASE NOTE as I have been bombarded by email-I will not part with any PSer, Homespun Elegance, BBD, CHS, La D Da, EEF and a few other designers or any OOP charts whether I have stitched them or not-usually if I am giving a chart away after I stitch it-I will let it be known here on my blog or offer it to readers via email:)

BUT the real reason for this post is to let you know I am going to be clearing out some of my finishing supplies and would love to share with some of you that love to do finishing work. I have not gotten to that part of my stitching room yet-but hope to do so this month :) If you would like to be considered to receive some finishing supplies please let me know :)
I know I will be lessening my TINS, BOXES and some laces/ribbons...not sure what else-but I am sure there will be other items too!Thank you all so much for your kind comments and emails on Feather Your Nest. I am truly loving this project (though I have not had time to stitch yet today) and cannot wait to sit down later and stitch :)
Thanks for visiting :) Please do come again!
hugs and love from SC

I would love to receive some finishing supplies! That's always the hardest part for me...being creative in my finishing! LOL

p.s. I just finished that floral needlebook, the one that you sent me the blue felt for, and the checked linen fabric. Remember? :) What did you use for the little swatch for the scissors?
i'd love to receive finishing stash, i love to have lot of things at my hands to choose from when i have to do the finishing.
I have so many ideas!!!!
Uina
Becky, you truly are a stash QUEEN! WOWSER, I have never seen so much stash in one place. Would I like to come to your house and play!! I love the idea of your lifetime stitching goals!
Paula
I would also like to be considered for some finishing stash.
Thank you.
You are always so creative with your finishes.
Gosh, Becky, I really admire how organized everything is!! You do have a lot of stash (don't if all, if we are honest, lol), but it's all so neatly in order. Girl, I need you to help me get my stash looking that good!
You're a brave woman to tackle it all and destash.
xoxo
PS. Please don't include me in any finishing stash you give away as I am finishing challenged, lol!
xo
Wow Becky, you do have a lot of stash. But you're so generous in giving it away rather than selling it all for profit. I've only just started learning finishing techniques so if you do have any fabric etc., especially things that you can only get in the USA, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands! LOL. Thank you so much for this opportunity :)
I love seeing all your stash and how well organized it is! Lovely! (Don't worry about finishing supplies for me. I don't finish that often. I'd like to but I don't. lol!)
Becky when you do clear out your finishing stash I'd certainly be interested in trims and stuff like that I don't seem to be able to find the cool stuff that you ladies in the States tend to find!!!
Becky - I know what you mean about having so much - I am now selective when I buy things - I used to buy eveything then wondered why months later I had bought it! I down-sized a while ago and it felt great. I would love to be considred for some finishing items - they are always good to have! xx
I'd love to receive some of your finishing supplies - you are just so creative! Thanks for sharing!

I would love to be considered for some of your finishing stash. I have just about used all my wall space.:) I need to do something with all my little stitched pieces. Your site gives me so much inspiration. Good luck with Feather Your Nest. I haven't worked on 40 count in years!
I would love to be considered for your finishing stash! I have gotten some great ideas from your blog, but haven't used them yet.
Becky
I would be interested some finishing supplies. Thanks. I actually thought when I saw an update on your blog it would be the finish. Anxiously awaiting. Pat Matejcek
Hi Becky--though I passed on more charts, I would love to be included in finishing supplies. I ALWAYS wonder where you get your supplies, as I haven't seen that kind of trim or buttons or containers around here. Thanks for the announcement! Hugs.
I would love to be considered for your finishing stash. I have been stitching for years and have lots of small projects that need to be finished. I would set them aside to be finished "later" when I had more time. I am finding that finishing is just as much fun as stitching. Thank you so much for being so generous! Gloria (gloriahanaway@att.net)

Oh Becky, I'm really deep impressed how organized you are! I always try to have my things in order, but ...., and yes, it would be a pleasure to receive some finished stash. It is so generous of you to give away.
Love from Germany, Gabi
I don't do finishing work so don't include me in those people. But if you ever decide to give away any cross stitch design with a sea theme please consider me.AriadnefromGreece!
I would love to get some finishing materials. You are my inspiration to start actually finishing some of my stuff and I have a whole basket full of stuff I have stitched but not finished. I started a full-time job recently and stitching really helps keep my stress level down! Thanks!
Lisa C.
Your stash is so organized! It looks better than any store I've ever been in! You should come an organize mine--ha ha--I know you're busy with your own! I would love to be considered for finishing supplies. I have been doing my own finishing and sometimes they look great--sometimes maybe not! But I learn something each time, so I guess it's all good! I love looking at the things you make and getting ideas! Thanks!

I would love to receive some finishing supplies as that is the hardest part for me. I think that will be an inspiration for me to finish up some of my pieces.
Looks great! Isn't a little (or big, 300!) clear-out so refreshing?
For my part, I am not yet the "finisher" I should be. Even more so in the "getting to it" part than then skill part! I'm feeling happy that as I simplify and declutter I'll become it, though. :D
I'd love to receive some of your finishing supplies - I always seem to have a stack of designs that I've stitched but haven't done anything further with. Thanks for sharing your creativity!
I would love to have a chance at owning some your finishing stash Becky. We can't get such a good variety here in the UK. Thanks Irene xxx
I can always use finishing stuffs...my own are a bit on the skimpy side and I usually have to go purchase things to finish a project! Put me in that hat!
Becky,
I love all the things you stitch. I am in aww when I read your blog. I'd love some more finishing supplies to add to my ever growing finishing supplies. It is nice sometimes to finish something and not have to run to the store to get this or that. I love finishing and trying new things. Thanks for being a blogger.
Maureen
Wow , you have a lot of people interested in your stash . I'd love a box or tin , something like that as I can never find anything suitable .
I don't have anywhere near as much stash as you , and I still won't ever get to it all , lol . but as I once said to my friend , I sure will have fun trying !
Thanks for being such a lovely giving person . you bring a lot of joy and happiness to a lot of people . X
Gosh Becky you are soooo organised ..lol and you do have just one or two things to stitch there heheheh .... would love to be considered for some finishing stuff ... I really love how you do yours and ideas that you come up with ... thanks for the opportunity love mouse xxxxx
Please do not enter me in your give away. I just wanted to take some time and let you know how much I enjoy reading about you, your stitching and your spirit. I am a regular reader that has followed you for years. I am constantly amazed with your stitching projects. Your give aways are truly through your heart. Your whole spirit is for others and it shows in everything that you do. You are truly a rare person that many should learn from. The world would be a nicer place with more people like you! God Bless.
I also have been purging and sending to other stitchers. Feels good.
Hi Becky i would LOVE some of your finishing supplies!!!!
bogfairy@yahoo.com
I totally understand about the purging and de-stashing. I'm doing the very same thing, and will be putting more on my blog as giveaways soon. It's ridiculous for me to have what I have, PLUS to have duplicates. Don't put me in the hat because I have plenty. Keep up the good work!
Wow, I sure love to have some finishing supplies especially boxes and tins. Thank you, Becky.
Hugs,
Becky, you are such a sweetheart! I have lots of charts and fibers, but never seem to have the right fabric or finishing materials. I would love to be considered for your finishing supply destashing. And Feather Your Nest is looking great--I love the letters scattered around the robin!

I would like to be on your list for finishing supplies. I'm new to finishing my stuff as I usually sold it on eBay just stitched up. Because of these blogs, I now have pillows. I'm still scared to attempt a flat-fold or pin-keeps lol! I de-stashed in December. It's a good feeling to let go of some of the stuff. It makes you question your reasons for keeping it all! Thanks! azcampis@yahoo.com
I get the feeling you are simplifying your life, Becky. My finishing abilities are nowhere near yours, but I am expanding them more each year and they are a part of my goals for 2011. Thanks for the opportunity-JoAnn's just doesn't have anything of the quality of the trim you got from your relatives.
I'm changing my focus from larger, framed pieces to smaller finishes, and would be thrilled with supplies to get me started!
Good afternoon Becky,
I would like to be considered for your give-away offering.
I attend my husbands 3 game a day softball tournaments and enjoy doing hand work while at the ball field. I am getting back into cross stitch (also do embroidery). and enjoy giving hand made gifts to others. Karencg@hotmail.com
Thank you..Karencg
Hi Becky,
I would love to be considered for some finishing supplies, my stocks are quite minimal and usually find myself having to go out and buy something when I need to do a finish.
Hugs to you
LISA V
I would love some finishing stuff! I am just now branching out with my cross stitching. I have always just stitched something and then had it framed. I really have no idea where to start!:)
You do such nice finishing! I would be interested in receiving a box if you still have one available. diana.h@comcast.net
I'd love to have a tin or box or lace/ribbon hun; I use to only think of framing my cross stitch until I came across your blog; you have inspired me more than I could ever say; I am new to "finishing" and really enjoy it. I'd gladly pay for postage for anything you'd like to toss my way. :)
Hugs, Shar
Becky, that's quite a goal you have there, but I've seen how you stitch and I'd be willing to bet you WILL accomplish your goal!
I've also become more selective in what I purchase to stitch. A couple years ago when I finally started stitching again, I was just amazed and overwhelmed by the variety of designers that had came to be, along with all the fancy flosses and such. I bought so many charts in the first 6 months and now as I go through them I find more and more that I know I won't stitch.
I would love to be consider for any kind of finishing items you may have to part with. That is an area that I sorely lack in. I pick up material for backs and such at the thrift stores, but don't usually find much else usable there and I've picked up ribbon and such, but I've not found cord very often.
Thank you for your generosity to the wonderful world of stitchers. :)
Finishing supplies are always wonderful for me to have on hand...Often just that one button or trim makes a difference for me in getting the finishing completed..I would be most gracious at any donations from you..Thanks!!! Faye
Becky, I would love to receive some finishing supplies. I have found that I like making things into ornaments, pillows etc. instead of turning everything into a wall hanging or picture. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I'm one of your new followers and I love the pictures of your stash that you posted here. You really must post more pics and your organizational tips! I'm a fairly new stitcher and have not yet accumulated a ton of stuff but I want to be conscious about organization and being able to find something when I need too.
In the last two weeks, I just finished my first ornament. I've also finished two class projects that came with everything to finish them. I've just started accumulating some finishing supplies and would love to be considered for anything you are destashing. I've seen all the wonderful comments prior readers have left about your beautiful trims and stuff so I'm off to take some time and go through your photos of prior finishes to check it out!
I just started going through your 2010 finishes. All I can say is WOW!!!
Finishing just scares the daylights out of me! I used to be less scared of it and was pretty successful in my attempts. Then I went through a dry spell as far as finishing and I lost my confidence. I would love to be in the running for some of your finishing supplies. They would be a great confidence booster.
Becky, please include my name in persons interested in finishing supplies. Finishing is a challenge, and I'd appreciate any help with supplies.
Thanks!

I would love to be considered for some of your finishing supplies. I'm not able to spend a lot of money on my cross stitch supplies since my husband is disabled and we live on a fixed income, so any little bargain I can find is welcomed. Your stitching and finishing are amazing and such an inspiration!
Me, me, me! I, too, struggle with how to finish things & have much admired your creativity :)
Denise
I love finishing supplies!!Would welcome anything!!!

Your finished projects, craft room-it's all so inspiring! It would be an honor to share in your finishing supplies & goodies!
Thanks for your wonderful blog. I enjoy reading it and send prayers for all of the challenges in your life.

Hi Becky,
I would love to receive some of your finishing supplies. It is uneasy to get those materials in my country, therefore I normally framed it. Your blog inspired me a lot!
Becky, I would love to know when you are clearing out some of your finishing items as i have my finishing service and anything helps. :)
Hi!
I'm interested too, please include my name in your list. Thank you very much.
Noemà (mimideusto@gmail.com)
Oh, Becky, you're an inspiration again! I'm in the same boat, way more stash than I'll ever need--and it's starting to make me feel anxious. I've been sorting, too, and hope to have it decluttered by the end of the year.
No finishing supplies for me, or charts, but thanks for the extra encouragement to continue with my destashing!
I think I'm in a position where I need to be doing some downsizing as well. I'll never accomplish half of what I've got. However I don't have much in the way of finishing supplies. I'm hoping to do more of this once I've finished work and I'd love to be considered for your generous offer. Thanks Becky!
I would love to be in with a chance to win some finishing supplies and seeing as all your finishes are so perfect.. creep creep lol. You have loads of lovely stash. Thank you for being so generous. x
Oh my goodness... that is the hardest for me to gather... finishing supplies... Oh yes... I would LOVE to be considered in this...
Thank you Becky for all that you do to inspire us in so very many way!
I definitely need more supplies - Any donations would be appreciated -
Buttons, laces, ribbon, trims in particular-
Thank you for your generosity Becky :)
Wow Becky, that is some stash!!
I have never finished anything other than to put in a frame, but that's too easy really. I just started the Coffee Crazy trio from Lizzie Kate and I want to turn them into little hanging pillows. I plan to make two sets to give to a couple friends of mine. I am nervous about trying to turn them into mini pillows though. I am not a pro on the sewing machine.
What a spectacular amount of stash!
I don't have much finishing stuff. Admittedly I don't stitch a lot of smalls, but I never have anything suitable for them. Do put me on that list please.
But more than anything, just continue to post your amazing finishes which are such great ideas for finishing (for us less creative folks!)
Becky i would LOVE some of your finishing supplies!!!!Please incluide my name in your list.
