Momma chicken hatched off 14 babies this morning (throughout the day 2 more hatched-so we have a total of 14). Bless her heart..this is her 4th try at babies. I hope this time they survive (or at least some of them-we have not been lucky with her hatching babies-raccoons got the last one and weather has played a part in losing them as well...we were getting nervous-we knew she was due to hatch off today-but the temps here have already been in the mid 90's this week-she had eggs go bad last year due to the high temps) I am a PROUD chicky grandma!!
Enjoy your babies momma!

Take care of YOURSELF and your loved ones!
Hugs and love from SC,

Those are some kind of adorable! Lovely, stripey chicks!
Oh how wonderful these chicks are!
Oh, they are so sweet. We had a duck lay two lots of eggs in our garden border in 2007 and we had to open the back gate so mom could take them to the pond for their first swim, the second hatching was 5am, when we heard them chirruping to get to water:)
How sweet and fluffy!
Their faces are beyond adorable! How cute; thank you so much for sharing. :D
They look big and strong!
They are precious and the coloring is beautiful, sort of bee/beehive colored.
Are these Welsummer chickens? They are very lovely - congrats to the happy mama! I'm going to stick a few eggs under 3 very broody hens we have and see what happens. It's still quite chilly here, but the poor girls want so badly to have their own little babies....
The babies and the mama are all pretty! I hope she enjoys being a mom. I"m glad there is some joy in your part of the world today.
They're so adorable! Been thinking of you -- continued prayers for you and yours.
Awwww, they are the cutest! Such lovely colours too.
I hope they all stay safe for you and you enjoy watching them grow.
All my love to you "Chicky Grandma".
