10-8-2011

A few finishes I have had over the past 6 months. I stitched a few other pieces but have yet to do the finishing on them. I was eager to do the finishing on the Autumn/Halloween stitching so I could get them displayed. I was unsure if I would get the opportunity to decorate this year for Autumn/Halloween, but over the past 2 days I was able to get everything out and displayed and that in itself lifted my spirits.

I have been mulling over whether or not I want to continue blogging. Whether I "Yack" write or not, I will continue to update this blog with my "stitchy pics"-that may be all I add-just stitchy pics and the details of the piece. I would STILL welcome email/comments from anyone that wishes to be in contact. I know many of you only visit/comment on blogs that return the favor but for a number of reasons I am just not much into "blogging" these days but still enjoy sharing my love of stitching with others. I will leave the comments turned on-but please don't feel obligated to comment. I just want to share my stitching with those interested.

Thank you all so much for your condolences. Thank you to those that sent snail mail cards-I shared EACH one with our family. They mean more than you can know. I'm just not real chatty right now (hope you understand why I have not been in contact with each of you personally) BUT please know I have and DO appreciate the love you showed for me and my family during my FIL's battle with cancer. AND that I love you BUNCHES!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
love and hugs from SC,

Becky,
Know that you and your family are in my prayers. I enjoy your blog SO much and hope that you do not stray away from it. If you only want to post pictures...sometimes you may want to blog...we understand. Life has dealt you and your family such a hard blow this past year or so.

Have a great weekend!

Oh, Becky, I love it all esp. the Goode Huswife pillow! (I had not seen that pattern yet.)

Your love of Halloween Stitching is just what I needed to see this evening; it has really lifted my spirits! Thank you for the work of posting it. While I love hearing your "yacking" as well I have no problem with just pictures and vitals. I am also not a virtual friend who requires visits and comments. That kind of obligation feels more and more like a weight that takes joy out of blogs as time wears on.

I am not sure if I can say this w/o sounding presumptuous, but I would love it if you would consider my blog a nice place to rest your eyes or mind if you feel like wandering into cyberspace for a moment's diversion without ever having to leave a comment there. :)

Becky, I am so happy to see a post from you. I truly enjoyed your post this evening and it makes me happy just to see your beautiful Halloween stitching. I also enjoy your "chatting" but love seeing your stitching as well. I do understand I have lots of readers who do not leave comments and that is quite fine with me. Just happy to see you slowly getting back into blogging and showing your gorgeous creations.

Becky--as usual, your stitching is gorgeous and the finishing is inspiring! I spent last evening doing some finishing until my sewing machine refused to budge (ok--I admit I put in some bad thread!! I was determined, but--I LOST!) and today I am stuffing, handsewing, and embellishing! I am glad that stitching lifts your spirits once again--as it should do! You are not out of our hearts and thoughts, even if you don't post as regularly as you used to do. We will take whatever you can share with us. I really like the Autumn of HRH--it is a lot of stitching but definitely worth it! Hugs and prayers to you!

Gorgeous finishes Becky!

Stick with the blogging. There are plenty of us who come because we love to see your stitching. And I follow people I find interesting. Personally I think following only people who follow you is being kinda...restrictive. Why not follow anyone who is interesting?

This is your blog. It is up to you what you wish to share and when. I hope you don't stop sharing your stitchy creations with us. Your projects provide much inspiration.

I hope your family is doing well. It has certainly been a tough year for you. I pray that God continues to watch over you all and provide comfort. Take each day one at a time and live each to the fullest.

As always your stitching is beautiful, I especially like the Hallowsornu, great colours, the Halloween Markings pillow, and the Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow is beautiful.
I, along with many others, I'm sure, enjoy your 'yacking' its fun and like talking to a very close friend, so please when you are ready, please 'yack'!!!:)lol!!
You have been through so much and need time to come to terms with life right now. You decide whats best for you, but, I, for one will always carry on reading, you are an inspiration.

I'm of the opinion that blogging is supposed to be primarily for your own pleasure, and if posting is becoming an ordeal and you have to force yourself to do it, then its no longer fun and you should take a break. That being said, I've always loved the pictures of your stitching, and many times they've been motivation and inspiration for me to try different finishing techniques. Even if all you do is post photos, I'll be happy. Just do what makes you happy, that's what's important.

It was so nice to seeing your stitching and finishing again. You are such a stitching inspiration for me. I hope you continue to share your stitching and whatever else you feel inclined to share. I have missed your sweet presence.

You've done some gorgeous finishing lately Becky, your home must look beautiful. I never expect comments in return, I just like leaving appreciative notes on blogs I like, like yours!
You've had such a tough time lately, but it would be great if you could keep blogging. Your blog is so inspiring to so many stitchers. But whatever decision you make, we'll back it all the way :)
Best wishes to you.

I am so glad to see your post and all of your beautiful finishes. I came across your blog awhile back and you always inspired me to pick up my needle and stitch. I am sorry for your loss. I believe no one really knows what someone has gone through, I do have an idea because I lost my son to cancer last May. He was only 37 and I miss him more everyday. So many times I picked up my stitching just to keep myself together and many of the charts were ideas I saw on your blog. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Thank you for all you did for me sharing your stitching. Nancy

I'm so glad to see that you have still been stitching. I'm sure it was a comfort to you during the past several months. Your finishes are as gorgeous as ever! I really love All Hallows Eve. It really jumped out at me. Welcome back!

I love all of your finishes - especially the biscornu.

You should blog because you want to, not because anyone else expects it of you. I read and comment on blogs regardless of whether people comment on mine. I haven't done much stitching in the past 6 or so months, and I was thinking about giving it up altogether, but I cherish the friendships that I've made along the way, and I would hate to lose those.
