Block 5 update

This will be my last update on AaHRH for a bit as the Christmas Ornament Challenge starts tomorrow and I hope to stitch quite a few ornaments. I am STILL loving this one and I am finding it a joy to stitch! Next time I pull it out I hope to finish up block 5 :)

Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow
Designer: Carriage House Samplings
Fabric: 40ct. Sand Dune
Fibers: DMC & Thread Gatherer Silk n colors
Start Date: 6-22-2011

A new reader asked me to share where I stitch...I have several places in my home that are set up for stitching. But this is my favorite as it is in the den where hubby and I watch TV.

The same reader asked me what method I use for stitching and if I use 2 hands. I use the stick and stab method and I do not use 2 hands for the actual stitching-both my hands are on top :). I hold my stitching (or my q-snap if I am using one) with my left hand and I stitch with my right hand :)

Thank you dear friends and readers for your special visits :) They are much appreciated!
hugs and love from SC :)

That looks like a very cosy place to stitch Becky. I am so looking forward to the challenge! I'm going through my patterns this evening to see which one I would like to do first :)
Best wishes to you!

I always enjoy seeing other stitcher's nests. Looks like a right comfy one too. Hugs!

Wonderful! :D

I enjoyed the info on your stitching method, too. I know that Marc was/is considering a stand for my birthday; I hope he does get one, and if so that I like it! It seems so complex, and there is a real lack of opportunity to try options.

Looks a very cosy, comfy place to stitch, everything to hand, I tend to stitch at my breakfast room table during the day and sat on the settee watching TV in the evening, so my 'bits and pieces' are always on the move!!!
AaHRH is looking good, you must be pleased with it so far.
Can't wait now to get started on the Christmas Ornament Challenge, its gonna be fun!!!!!!
Love to all

I need to get my fabric and threads together to start on my first ornament tomorrow! And then I need to put away my five other current projects so I can finish it, too! : ) LOL!

Isn't it fun to see the stitching spots and learning about techniques? You never know when you'll see something that will help and/or make your stitching more fun and rewarding.

Wait just a minute, Becky! I don't see a magnifier at your stitching seat. That's just not fair! Ha!
