I did the finishing on bluebird Serenade today. I took some colors from the design to use in my finishing. I decided on a finish you could use to hang wherever you choose...ornament, peg, doorknob...you get the idea. This one was fun from start to finish :) It's so adorable. I hope whoever it goes to live with will love it as much as I do :)

I adapted how I do my hangers on a lot of my ornaments and such a few years back-this way the recipient can adjust the height at which they hang. I did this after receiving some ornaments that had really long hangers and they hung way too low and with no way to adjust them without cutting the ribbon and knotting it, which I did not want to do. So I use this method quite often :) You can get a bit more length if you need it or you can take it up with ease if it hangs too low.

Becky, you have a bluebird theme going. Cold and snowy here in the north today. Went to NYCity to see the Betty Ring sampler exhibit today and it was lots of fun. I wish I could have stayed for the auction. Did pick up some lovely trims.
The gingham finishing is perfect! I'd never thought of making an adjustable hanger, what a smart idea.
Beautiful ornament, amazing finish! I have had problems with the long hangers before; what do you do to make it adjustable? I would really appreciate the lesson. Thank you so much!

Love the finish you did with Bluebirds Serenade, and to be able to adjust the height of the hang ribbon is genius. There are going to be some very lucky RAK recipients.

Oh Becky I truly love this design. Someone is going to be thrilled as I am sure they would with any piece stitched by you. A lot of the pieces on my display unit in my kitchen are from stitched friends and I always feel blessed everytime I look at it. I don't know what it is with me and Bluebirds at the moment. I love them. They are wonderful to stitch and brighten the day xx

Lovely collection of bluebird items. I;m sure whoever gets it will love it.
I love that finish, but then, I love all your finishes!
I have to ask if you use tutorials, have your own tutorials, or if you just dream these up? I am starting to do exchanges again and am so rusty and also bewildered by all the finishes I see! (Thanks!)
I'm sure the recipient will LOVE it, how could they not!!!
Beautiful finish!
The finish of that cute design is perfect!
I love all your bluebirds, but I think I like this last one the best. But, I think I think that every time you show us a new one!
Another gorgeous finish! Someone will be very lucky! I'm always fascinated by your finishing so thank you for sharing them!
Becky,
Great finish and such a good idea for the hanger to be able to adjust it. Some like long ones and some like short ones. Very clever!
Maureen
I couldn't resist putting this design on my wish list, it's so cute! A gorgeous finish Becky, you are so very generous.
Best wishes and happy stitching to you.
Beautiful finish, Becky. What a nice group of finishes you have compiled. I am sure they will be cherished.
These are all just the cutest! You certainly do lovely work, Becky.
We are having some dreary weather here in Northern California as well.. I am ready for some sunshine LOL
Very cute finish. You will make someone very happy.
Take Care and stay warm and dry ;)
What sweet, sweet finishes. I always appreciate the smile that your beautiful stitching and precious spirit bring to me.
Such a sweet finish, Becky... And what a great idea for making a hanger that you can adjust to whatever size works best for the recipient... I know your gifts will delight your readers :)
My internet is still out from our snow/ice storm, but it hasn't stopped my stitching on Paradise Lost. No cable for 4 days so I borrowed my son-in-laws laptop to start catching up.
Love this design and would not have picked the green gingham, but it turned out beautiful!
You are good at making me think out of the box, thanks!
Beautiful finish.Love it!!
Hugs
Lovely ornament finish! And what an idea for making it longer and shorter!
Love the small blue birdies!
Another lovely finish Becky
LOVE your Bluebirds Serenade and the way you finished it is just superb!
HUGS to you my friend:)
Oh, Becky! What a sweet, sweet stitch and finish! What a reminder that Spring is Coming! Definitely need to make a note--this one is a "keeper"!
Also, I am still looking for some of that green gingham ribbon. I hoped to find some at Christmas, but didn't. It seems that all this Retro-Mod christmas styling and colors bit is conducive to such a thing as green-and-cream gingham! But, your spring ornament has given me another good idea--perhaps it will be released as part of a spring line this year!
Another lovely finish.
What a sweet finish! I also like the blubird tin, I don't remember seeing that before. The blue is very pretty.
