This is the last time you will have to look at Plymouth Sampler. Yesterday I hosted a MOST special 92nd birthday supper for my grandma (the one that recently had a pacemaker put in) I can't tell you how happy I am that I got to do this for her. It was such a SPECIAL day and memories were made. She smiled the entire time :) Life is so precious.

WOW!

I received the MOST generous box of goodies from my dear, dear friend Carolyn today. I am VERY overwhelmed and will let the pics do the talking. The box was just bursting with gifts. WOW! Thank you again my friend :) Your friendship means more to me than you can ever know (and you know it's so even without the first gift-I can't thank you enough for being there! You're an angel AND I love you gf !! )





I pulled AaHRH out to stitch my May block (block 11) BUT I have a couple of gifts I need to get ready to go-so I will probably stitch on those and then move on to Block 11.

Plymouth Sampler FINISHED :)

I put the last stitch in this afternoon. I must say I am so happy with how it turned out and I loved EVERY single stitch...even the over 7000 stitches in the border alone :) This has to be one of my very favorite samplers I have stitched.

My hubby is at home and feeling much better. However they do not yet know why he had the episode at work and why his blood pressure and heart rate were extremely high for many hours. We are waiting news on tests they did. We meet with the surgeon here on May 18th to set up a date for hernia surgery. We are hopeful that in the time leading up to surgery we have an answer for what happened to him on Tuesday. VERY scary. I can't thank you all enough for your thoughts and prayers and I ask that you continue to remember us...we have a long way to go yet. I will be hit and miss as far as blogging (especially visiting blogs) until after he has recovered.

One last look...before the finish...

I just can't say enough about how wonderful this sampler is stitching up. I love the motifs and the colors and the story :) I am on the home stretch now and will not show an update again until it is complete :) I truly do love it and can't wait to finish it :)

I have been dyeing some fibers and fabrics...here are some of the cotton fibers I dyed recently. These are OVERDYED using cotton fibers and the color of RIT dye (I have every color they make..LOL) I want to acheive in the dyeing process :)I LOVE them!!

Saturday update :)

I am so loving this sampler. I hope I am not boring you all with my updates :) I just get so excited to see it growing so lovely as I stitch :) Please excuse the white fuzzy near the shutter on the green house. Hello Friends :)

Just a quick fly by post with a Plymouth Sampler update :) I know this doesn't look like much but it is a lot of stitching since my previous update :) There are rows of stitches in the borders alone (the border is not finished by a long shot):) BUT I am still enjoying it so much :)(all pics are clickable on blog and website)



The border around the alphabet and down both sides are solid stitched so I will come back and fill those in later as I am anxious to get to the heart of the design :)

A bit of an update and something special...

I am TOTALLY enjoying Plymouth Sampler :)Here is my progress for today :) I can't wait to get to the heart of this sampler. :) BUT-I truly am enjoying the process :) Thanks for letting me share :)




Ann, you mentioned you feel I am moving toward large designs now...well, I have my phases :0) I used to only stitch large pieces (you can see most of them in my cross stitch albums)....but then I discovered exchanges and gifting :) So I started stitching smalls which I am passionate about (as I am absolutely in LOVE with finishing work)-so there will be SMALLS in the works as well :)

NOW, I want to offer a Spring Giveaway to thank you for all your SWEET comments :) I enjoy hearing from my readers and your comments have meant a great deal to me lately as there have been days I have felt very down with my family members suffering health issues-last year was a very difficult year for hubby's side of the family, losing his dad and the tragic loss of our niece. My new start

I decided on another sampler. I am always inspired by dear Margaret and dear Terri's gorgeous samplers-their blogs will make you want to pull every sampler you own and start them :) :) :) Both ladies stitch amazing samplers-I just drool over them and take great inspiration from them both.
I have so many samplers in my stash that I want to stitch. No time like the present !!! Right???
I started the Plymouth Sampler this afternoon. I LOVE this one. I have quite a few of Brenda's samplers in my stash. I am excited about this sampler and looking forward to stitching it. You may not think much of it right now...but I sure do as I love the look of the alphabet :)

Good Huswifes in Summer

I put the last stitch in this one today, I LOVED every minute of stitching it. It's so pretty. I changed my door and shutter colors to Red (instead of the called for blue) and just love the way it turned out. I plan to finish it as I did As The Crow Flies last year..(click to view finish) I think it will look great finished the same way :)

Overwhelmed...

Oh MY! I am just so overwhelmed by 2 wonderful packages I received today. One is a RAK from Mindi and the other is a belated birthday gift from my dear friend Julianne. WOW! I just don't know what to say... you two ladies touched my heart today.

Mindi wanted to send me some of her Pepper Jelly as she read on my blog how much I enjoy it...WOW, thank you Mindi-I am so excited :) BUT, she sent so many other goodies and a stitched gift as well. I ADORE the pillow, Mindi :) I am so blown away by your generosity. What a WONDERFUL surprise to brighten any day :) Mindi, thank you -I feel like I should say more-but my thanks comes from my heart!
